Alright so I followed the instructions listed here: https://travel.state.gov/content/dam/visas/iv-dv-supplemental/MTL-Montreal.pdf but wasn't able to register on ais.usvisa-info.com. Keep getting the error message 'The Immigrant Visa case number provided is not ready to schedule an appointment' haha 🤔I emailed CSRA support and they should get back to me in a couple days. Also spoke to a customer service rep and they said to wait a couple days and try again later. With regards to rescheduling, she told me that we'd have to wait until we miss the interview and then we'll be able to reschedule. Seems like a waste of resources but then again it's the government so no surprises there... Once I have full access to the ais-usvisa.info.com page I'll see what options there are.

Yes, the other day I read a thread about rescheduling because I was curious as well, and that's exactly what the people had to do - miss their interviews and then reschedule afterwards. It totally does seem like a waste of resources... like wouldn't it make more sense to book someone else into your slot if you can't make it?  But you're right - it is the government so I guess it isn't a surprise!

Here's the thread:

I don't know why it would be but it's not an issue if the medical passport photos are different from the interview ones right?

Isn't the interview photos 2x2inch for the interview? https://visaguide.world/us-visa/photo-requirements/ cause the guy at London drugs insisted this was correct size.

and for the medical passport sized photos he made into the Canadian passport photo default 2x2&3/4 inches since Medysis is Canadian based... but idk if this is correct either. Or does it matter?

I hope Medisys accepts 2 x 2 because that’s what I had made... 5 for them, 2 for interview

Thanks for that info @Courtney86  How many are needed for interview?

You need 2 for the interview (and 5 for medical if you do it in Montreal- not sure about other spots). We originally got 6 at Costco, so she was one short.

Medisys definitely accepted 2x2.

We had 6 made at Costco, but should have done 8 (since they are sold in sets of 2), because yes you need 5 for Medisys and 2 for the interview. I had read that someone only needed 1 for medical (but I think that was for another a medical in another city), and when I called Medisys and mentioned that they said 'Well...we still recommend 5 just in case'. So to me it sounded like it was one of the overkill things, and 4 should be plenty. But on arrival they said no, there are 5 pages of paperwork and we needed a photo on every page.

My question of if the photos can differ wasn't on size but if the actual picture from the medical ones needs to match the picture from the interview ones. They will be different now since we are 1 photo short (we'll go get 2 new ones made, so at least the interview ones will be the same).

Oh, I don’t think that would matter. As long as Medisys has all the same ones and the Embassy has two of the same ones, that should be okay. Somebody correct me if I’m wrong.

I’m calling later. This wait is really getting to us.... Maybe they will assign dates today

That’s what I’m thinking. It would be really awesome if everyone could volunteer to call at two hour intervals or so. That way not everyone is calling a thousand times... I called at 8, so if you can call at maybe 10 or so? And if you don’t hear a positive, someone can offer to call around 12ish for us... :)

Since he’s doing 1 EST, maybe 3 EST if we have bad news and then one more person at 5? Seems like those are the good times to call. Otherwise, we’re looking at Monday. :(
