I just called NVC to see if I have an interview date yet.  Still no.  Cc Sept 6.😦

Well when they give them out they give out a bunch at once. I remember for our round they went from August 3rd to these nd of August it seemed. I’d bet you’re in line to get it any day. And Keenum mind they are still booking 30 days away so being done before Christmas 🎄 is still a huge and likely scenario! It’s agonizing though, I get it!

OUR cc is September 10, still waiting anxiously ! It’s been such a huge relief to read others’ stories and know we’re not the only ones.  Thanks so much everyone for the insightful info!

Welcome! With that CC date, you are second in line for an interview, at least of people who have posted on this site!

Thanks. No, I signed up for a courier service. And I'm in Ottawa anyway, so if I need to I can just drive over and get it.

Bethany, do they provide you with a courier tracking number? Just curious if there is any way of even getting a heads up that it’s on it’s way?

I’m really hoping we get December dates next Friday as it’s the second Friday of the month, and it’s our 1st anniversary. Can’t think of a much better gift right now than having an end date finally in sight. 😍

No tracking number that I am aware of. I think they just notify you when it's being sent and when it's ready for pick up. I'll let you know if I find out something different.

Nice! They asked me how we met, when we got engaged, how long I have stayed when I visited, and what we both do for work. They asked for the originals of everything - birth, marriage, police, taxes, affidavit, medical, 2 passport photos.

when you mean affidavits? is it the letter affidavits you send in with the I-864 from the start? cause both my taxes, and affidavits  were online so I only have copies..

Copies of the i864 and taxes are fine. They just glance at them. The civil documents are originals.

Anyone know if we have to provide this during the interview?

Ive printed out previous plane tickets, affidavit letters and a few photographs just in case.

but I have a feeling they wont even look at it.

They didn't look at my evidence. I had photos, call logs, and some joint stuff like our car and me being under his health insurance. I've read many reviews for the Montreal consulate and it looks like they almost never ask. However, better to have it in case they do.

Probably a silly question, but they only look at the civil documents and take the photocopy versions? I think I've read that they take the police certificate which is fine, but the other documents we get to keep yea?

Ya, i think they just look at the originals to make sure they match up with what we've sent them then give them back, other than the police certificate.

They don't need photocopies of the civil documents, just originals. When you get there, they ask you for all your paperwork and they hand you back the affidavit and taxes. You sit back down and wait to be called for the interview. At the interview they hand you back your civil documents and keep your police check.
