Hey guys. Just had my interview today in Montreal. It was a long wait but the interview part was at most 10 minutes and super easy.

Aw, that’s great news. I was thinking about you this morning and sending positive thoughts.

Hope you have a safe trip south and that your baby gets to keep US Citizenship despite all the crazy talk down there.

Awesome! We fly to Montreal on Monday. Medical appt. on Wed. and interview on the 13th. What questions did they ask you? And did you need photocopies of everything, or did they have them already from NVC? Probably going to bring them just in case, but sounds like they don't really need them.

For anyone this may help, here are the Medisys in Montreal costs I got quoted over the phone:

Appointment:

$400 + GST (about $460ish)

Vaccines if needed:

MMR: $60

TDap: $40

Flu: $25

RE Passport pics: She said they still advise to bring 5 even if others have only needed 1, as it's up to them at the appointment.

Nice! They asked me how we met, when we got engaged, how long I have stayed when I visited, and what we both do for work. They asked for the originals of everything - birth, marriage, police, taxes, affidavit, medical, 2 passport photos.

Nice, that's handy that you're so close. If you can, please let us know if they end up sending it out or if you have to go get it!

Good to hear, congrats! On my checklist it says a photocopy of the I-864 is ok so I’m hoping that’s still the case. My lawyer seems to say it is.

Let us us know how long it takes to get your passport/visa back. That part will help me personally know if we need to change potential plans we have made. I’m hoping it’s  very fast...like 5 days fast!

A copy is probably fine. They just glanced at it to see that it was the same in their system.

I dunno guys, if i were you I'd get the original I-864 with the inked signature if at all possible.  I remember a few people in a thread saying they requested it at their intereview and didn't have it and had to provide it before they were issued their visa.  Again, I guess it may be up to whichever interviewer you get.

Actually talked to my lawyer last night and she got me a copy of the original, so I think I should be good.

Man, the stress of this thing never seems to end!!!

The official directions/checklist says it can be a photocopy or scanned image as long as it's of a signature- typed or printed name's not accepted.

Ya that’s the same one it sounds like I read. I’m actually gonna bring a copy of the “checklist” to the interview so they can see exactly what I see, that way they will see that I brought exactly what was listed.
