WOW. So many opinions on why it's taking so long! In the end it's just fruitless attempt in the game of guessing.

This is really becoming frustrating. How are people at the end of October and November being approved before early October and even some September filers?

My fiancee called the California office this morning and got a call back from a rude Tier 2 agent who gave a standard speil and then hung up on her as she was asking for his badge number. He told her our case is pending and that they have 88 more days to make a decision before our case goes outside of normal processing time, at which time he might be able to help her. He said he could not tell her anything else because they still have 88 days and the speed all depends on the case load of the duty officer dealing with our case. So.....we learned nothing by calling. NOA1 on the egov website October 18, 2018. NOA1 on the myuscis website October 23, 2018. We're in no different a position than we were before we called but it seems more frustrating because he was so rude!

honestly calling before it is out of normal processing time is a waste of your time. yes, you may see some people with later NOA1 dates than you get approvals already, but they way they do the processing is unknown to us. it would be helpful if the online resources were a bit more informative, but dont hold your breath

RoC sent 10/30/21

NOA 11/16/21

Check Cashed 11/18/21

Biometrics Waived 01/19/2022

thanks he made my day when he said all completed paperwork done and its in the officers desk for approval and to sign it, he also mention that once its in the officer desk they don't waste time to approve it because its been completed and he or she will sign it and approved it.... That made me happy....

Many people found out they were approved after they called to USCIS. That is why they have a phone number so people can use it. Believe me even after you are outside of normal processing time some of the workers there are helpless. You right no one knows how do they process cases there, in what order, but some of them could be a bit nicer about giving info. After all it is not a free service. I know a lawyer that said every year he has around 10 or so cases when people hire his office to sue USCIS just to make a final decision. I hardly believe that some cases take as long as 400 days. I think is more about lack of consistency and who is processing your case. Some workers do a better job than others.

You are just a few days ahead of me, so this should mean we are close to approval too (hopefully). Be sure to let us know when you get approval!
