Got an email to check the site.

Thanks y’all! Hang in there! I was totally snuggled in for a way longer wait. This was a complete shock.

Would you mind sharing the email address it came from? I'd like to add it to my VIP list. Thank you :)

This is really becoming frustrating. How are people at the end of October and November being approved before early October and even some September filers?

I feel you. Oct 12 here. Just called yesterday and got the "gotta wait 6 months".  :(

I know, I’m happy for everyone getting approved but I’m getting more frustrated when I’m not hearing anything.

I am more frustrated with just understanding their process, tbh. I don't understand how applications come in in order, and somehow end up out of order.

I think it's entirely possible that there are just some slow workers and some fast workers. Unfortunately, it appears the faster workers don't pick up the slack of the slower worker. In my experiences through life, the entire "business" needs to move through it together and help out with the workers who may be behind on their application pile.

Meh, who knows?

You'd think so, but this IS the government we're talking about.  From personal knowledge of dealing with local state government departments and employees, and knowing people that work in state and federal government positions, the amount of inefficiency and huge gap in work ethic between some people would shock you...

It's frustrating for us because this is the only part of the whole process we really care about. As long as we are together, the time things taken isn't a huge deal.

Agreed.  I don't care as much about long AOS wait since at least she'll be here then and we'll be together.  The NOA1 to NOA2 wait seems to be the hardest.

If what you say it is true I have to be lucky that way that my case are going twice (first time and second time) to the slower people that work for USICS. I call it misfortune. To be honest the feeling of being left behind is awful.

From my experience with USCIS they go thru 50% of cases of the all month (in our case October) than they move to a new month. They are still approving October but on a slower rate. If you look behind July thru September they did the same thing. If you are lucky to be in that 50 % you will get your NOA2 faster. The rest of us left behind God knows when the big day will be.

I'm worried about NVC processing time, which seems to be increasingly delayed in contrast to these faster approvals. Also concerned about interview scheduling timeline in Bogota, as they seem to be doing extra duty with Venezuela now :(   I think this next stretch might be harder for me. But agreed that AOS will be just fine since we'll be together then.

May I ask how long now it takes to hear from NVC? I dont have my NOA2 however I want to get prepared for what is next.

From what I'm reading, it's taking over a month for some folks. And depending on how it falls within the shipment schedule, there could be further delays getting it to your embassy.

Here's a good recent post from @Shiran which I found very helpful for my understanding:
