Question for people who found out they’re approved by calling:

did the automated system say your case had just been received? And then you spoke to someone who said it was approved?

or was it just the automated system that told you it was approved?

I believe they all talked to an automated system then was able to connect to someone. But they are actually closed during the weekends and will be back on weekdays from 8am.

I mean you would think they would give us little more information. After all it is not a free service.

They do not want to get in an argument with the caller (you) and second they don't want any information that can be misconstrued further tarnishing the process. They do give you enough information for you to know where your file (USCIS processing timeline, NOA2, Case number, status at CEAC and the rest you will know because you are the one executing the process in your country) is but they are not going to tell you exactly what "step" you are on.

It was an automated system at first, then we pressed 1122# and waited for an hour to talk to a tier 2 immigration officer.

My fiancé said we got lucky cos the immigration officer even thanked him for calling because he gets to be the bearer of good news.😂 Such an angel!

Hi everyone.  I just got my approval by calling USCIS as was written on here.  I can't believe it!!! I am so happy.  The agent was very nice and he confirmed that it was approved on February 22nd .

but I may not receive the notice until 30 days from now.  Once I get confirmation by mail I will update my status.  Can someone tell me how long I should wait before calling NVC to get my case #?

Thank you so much and good luck to everyone who is still waiting!! xoxoxo

Congratulations! We are going to call tonight, I hope it's good luck for us too!

I take it that your online account with USCIS didn't say anything?

I just called right now and I guess I the person who answered my call wasn't the same person you guys had. The lady just told me it takes 5-7 months to process and to just keep checking online which wasn't very helpful.

It doesn't show any updates and I  haven't received any texts or e-mail notifications.

This gives me some hope, lol.

I hope I get someone nicer and more willing to give some information.

I take it you just pressed the 1122# combination to get through to someone helpful?
