Hi, my fiancée filed our I-129F earlier last week. It was delivered to the Dallas PO Box on Thursday night, so would've been picked up Friday 12th. We still haven't received the G-1145 text/email.

Can anyone shed some light on this?

Thanks!

Welcome to the thread and I wish you smooth processing for your visa. To that end, I am a veteran here I just want to give a little advice. This is going to be a long process and there will be ups and downs and delays to the point you may just get frustrated. If you set your expectations low then when you do get a delay or set back you won't be as disappointed. There are a lot of great people here to help so ask questions. Oh, btw it's not unusually that you hear the same response from USCIS or that you don't get updates through text or email. It's just one of the things we all hate about USCIS. You should hear something about your case within 10-15 days of submittal of your application. If you wrote a check, check your bank and see if it they have deposited your check. If you sent your package with tracking check it also. It has happened that an application gets "lost" and then found once you can prove delivery. Last thing I hope you made copies of everything you sent or will be sending in the future. I recommend get a cloud account (dropbox is one and is free) and scan all your documents there and both of you can access them if there is ever a need for them.

Good luck.

My fiancé sent the I-129F to Lewisville, TX via USPS express on October 4th. It was received on the 5th. Check was cleared on the 10th. He got the NOA1 (California Service Center) by mail today, dated October 11th.

Thank you for all the helpful tips! Now the waiting game begins!❤

My fiancé sent ours on the 5th and I just received my copy in the mail and realized he forgot to actually sign the I-129F form at the end. Any idea what will happen?

It's very likely that in a couple of months they will return the form back to your fiance to sign it. Worst case is they deny the petition outright.

In most cases that I've seen, if you forget to fill out a part of the form, or fill out something incorrectly, they just return the form back to you and ask you to correct the mistake, however this can take time.

Thank you. I'm trying to be patient but feeling so frustrated right now.
