Fiancee and I are into obsession mode now, we've started to predict our own timeline! Taking into consideration our current timeline and the rate at which it's decreasing by a day every day, how close to the end of September the September filers are and how many petitions are ahead on the case tracker app :D Predicting an approval within 10 days if we're right and our background checks come up squeaky clean. I don't have a very common name in the US so hopefully it won't be hard to check me over! Our NOA1 is October 1st so it shouldn't be long. Anyway now :D

Im doing the same thing haha! Coming up with random theories just to give myself a little hope😂 We are October 4th!

is background check the longest process? Yes

Does anyone know what happens when background check is completed? It's sent back to USCIS and then your case is adjudicated with the result of pass or fail rendered with notification to you.

Having a super uncommon name can help the time on this right?

Not much of a time saving with a common or uncommon name from country's that have good record keeping. It's those who are still far behind with technology or have been destroyed in a war or some other disaster that make things difficult.

I am little confused.

is background check for petitioner or beneficiary?

from statement above, does it mean USCIS reaches out to the country of origin ?

Completely lost here, too. Does the background check on the beneficiary happen at NVC?
