That may be the case but some cases move faster than others, but your time is coming.

Some countries you mean. I spoke to a Tier 2 agent today. Same BS talk from them.

No I meant cases  as I said. CSC processes  from all countries . Its not country  specific  until the embassy phase.

Hello guys! We were approved at March 10th and till now we didin't receive anything from NVC. I wrote to them a week ago on site and still no reply. Also wrote directly on email - no reply too. How long you waited till any response from NVC? Should I call them?

Yes by all means call them to inquire about your case!

Same here.  This morning 5 AM my time I called USCIS just as they opened. They answered on the second ring which was nice but gave me the same spiel and then I asked her to transfer me to tier 2.  She was reluctant at first and I insisted. T2 answered 12 minutes later. I seem to get the same woman with a Russian accent.  She asked me some new questions more about my fiancé in her verification opening.  Then told me what she always tells me and I reminded her that I was aware that November and December filers were being approved. She seem to take a little more time with me so I took advantage and asked her ‘Exactly how are you guys processing these?.’ She said it’s on a first come first serve basis. I said if that’s the case I should’ve been approved a while ago. How come countries such as X, Y and.Z are getting approved before me? She said it could just be a matter of clearance on names.  I said OK have you guys started background check on us yet?  she said I don’t see that and that technically you could take another 60 days because it’s only been six months processing for you. She hurried me off the phone. I just want to pull my hair! :bonk:

In my opinion we all should be able to do survey on our experience with USCIS. Maybe this way things can be changed a bit. But remember some times even tier 2 don't know what is going on. There were people who were told their cases were not even touched but than turned out their NOA 2 was in the mail box. Also I read on other tread that they go by country. So for example if there are more people from the same country they are trying to stick them together. These are only rumors in reality who knows what is their method of working.

If someone found out our 129f filing number from our NOA1 letter, and they had malicious intent because they didn't want us to be able to get married, could they call the USCIS, pretend to be one of us and tell them something false like that we aren't in a relationship anymore/and to cancel our application? Then I suppose the USCIS thinking this was us would believe them and cancel our application?

Just wondering because there is someone who has access to my fiancee's house who might just try this.

You can call and inquire. Phone numbers are on the first page of the March NOA2 to NVC thread.

Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline OR your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine their Embassy. The country that should be used is the country where the interview will take place.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right-hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

Once you finish that then return and you will see a flag in your profile. Select it and see what wonderful information will open up for you.

Thanks

There is a possibility but it would be a Federal Offense and the results would not be pretty for that "someone".

@Mendez As of 04/05 I will be 6 months plus 1 day. Can you explain how you were able to place the inquiry? I tried looking back but couldnt see anything posted on steps you took. Im like you, I cant focus on much aside from this. Call USCIS everyday for 2 weeks and nothing not even background check started, nothing. Thanks!

What I did I submitted case outside of normal range followed the steps where they ask you for your person information all of that but don’t put your Noa1 date just put the date your petition was received by USCIS and a brief message how is been 6 months and you haven’t hear anything from them since they received your petition

We called to NVC - they still didn't receive our case ☹️ It's been 3 weeks after NOA-2. Is it normal to wait for a NVC number for that long?

Yes it is normal to take 4 weeks or even 5 to get to NVC

Processing times just improved from 6 to 8 to 5.5 to 7.5!  Now Sep 1 receipt date to inquire!  I can submit one in 13 days now instead of a month!  Hoping it stays like that...

Called my congressman's office, receptionist was super nice and said I came to the right place.  I joked to her that calling USCIS leaves a lot to be desired and she laughed and agreed.  Left a VM with the person who handles visa issues, was told he'd be back 8AM tomorrow.  Still a bit away from being outside processing time but figured I'd get the ball rolling now
