one step closer. I although received an email saying we are still reviewing your case but I think its a computer generated response after receiving any RFE.

I dream of our approval coming next week

Thanks. I just joined yesterday. what I meant is after is approval it does take time for the NVC to issue the VISA and sent it to the Embassy plus a few days before the embassy send the letter with instruction to my fiance. so I'm still not in the driver seat yet until letter received.

NVC doesn’t issue the visa. They issue an embassy case number that you use to file the DS160. Then you can schedule the interview and medical exam. Only after those are successful does the visa get issued.

I was about to ask about DS160 since my info is very limited when it comes to what happens after approval.

Hang in there Victoria. I think we all hit walls at different times. I'm definitely hitting one now--out of energy wrestling with Seunghyean's steps, and I still have to do my own i-134 and joint sponsor i-134. It's like another huge projects, but I'm becoming physically sick and no more energy. She and I both decided to take a break until Monday to consider or work on this, so we can recover some energy.

Basically here you get all the stress but none of good part of relationship, because all of our phone calls are only about working for this.

They say the easiest time to give up is shortly before you're done! And I always say that for any worthwhile project done right, you'll be totally ready for it to be done, but it always takes a few more pushes. Just like giving birth. ;)

So, I feel ya! There definitely are a few more pushes, but it's ok to take a breath.

Thank you. I am trying to keep my mind busy with other staff but it is just so hard. I need a break as well as you said.

Don't get me that excited. lol

After I did my own research and reading different experiences here VJ people are getting approved in one week or two for the rfe like yours. I wonder if the rfe is processed by the same officer that took your case first initially or is someone else. Not that it makes a difference but I was just wondering.

Honestly, I was surprised to see the case updated 1 day after package was delivered. You never know but I think the same officer.

I believe my attorney should sent ours today so I hope it will be there by Monday. I keep playing in my head if I did not miss anything or if I should have add some more info. 😃 I want all this to be over.

I was thinking same thing, 2 months or so after the approval NOA2 because of time it takes to get to NVC and then your case number. Is that not correct?

Feeling stressed out about everything visa related right now. We received our NOA2 over a month ago now and still nothing from NVC... I was hoping to at least have gotten a case number so I could do my DS-160 and have my medical done.

I have rhinoplasty surgery (a nose job) in 4 weeks. I don’t really know what would happen if I were to have my medical after the fact. Do they ask about previous operations during the exam?

My plan was to get my new passport photos taken before the operation because my face will be puffy and swollen for a few weeks after surgery, but then maybe they’ll want the photos to represent my face even after surgery. Anyone have any clue? I’m stuck. I feel like I have enough to be stressed about and this is just driving me crazy.
