Hi. Still no NOA 1 it’s been over a month now. My fiance tried calling but they hang up every 20 mins wait. Is there a more positive or alternate way to actually reach to them?

Thay really sucks. You just have to keep calling unfortunately.

someone on here or another thread pointed out that your receipt number can be on the check cashing info on the system for the bank the check was from.

Get your fiancé to check their statement to see if the receipt number is on there :)

No reason to apologise, no reason to be worried. If you mailed it with USPS tracking and that says it arrived, and then the check was cashed, it looks pretty good.

Do let us know if you don’t receive your NOA soon, we’ll see what we can do to help :)

So my fiance finally reached to them and got out case num but we still don’t have the hard copy. Is it really necessary for the interview? here in manila?

You shouldn’t need the NOA1. It’s just a receipt that they got the application. Don’t stress :)

You will have a hard copy in 2-4 weeks mailed to the petitioner. Now that you have the case number you can start processing your case in the PI. Follow the directions I gave you and you should be find. Don't wait for the NOA2 as it is not needed as there are work arounds for the Philippines.

Also, it's time for you to go over to the sub-forum and begin interacting with others and asking any questions specific to USEM processing.

Please complete your timeline as it helps us to understand where you are in the process. Just select "timeline" below your flag and follow the directions.

I think she is talking about the NOA2 as she stated that she has her "case number". We could both be confused as she has no timeline.

I think we’re talking about the NOA1 here. She got her case number from USCIS by calling since she hadn’t got the hard copy of the NOA1 yet. But again, could be confused

I agree that it is confusing. Anyway, we gave her two answers to choose from. :D

***Just an update***

We finally got our receipt number, yay! I know for some, this may not matter much, but the fact that it's already ~*official*~ makes me so excited.

I did NOT get my mail as a beneficiary, (maybe it got stuck somewhere) but my fiance got his on the mail. It was date October 16, the same day they cashed the check. We just didn't know when the mail arrived as he just got home after 2 weeks.

Thanks, everybody!

I could be wrong, but the beneficiary does NOT get the NOA1. Just the petitioner.

Yes the petitioner sent it to them perhaps, but only the petitioner receives the NOA1 from USCIS. I might add or the agent or Lawyer (whoever prepared the application.)

There is that possibility that their email addresses were up to date and therefore it may have happened as you state. Most correspondence goes to the petitioner up to NVC stage (again if both emails are updated then the beneficiary could also receive correspondence but only through email. They will not mail anything to the beneficiary) then once the case is at the embassy then all correspondence is sent to the beneficiary and not to the petitioner.
