Hey,

 

So my fiancé and I are super confused. We got the NVC case and Invoice number and entered it into the site. It tells us to fill out the ds-160 so we did. But it kicks us back out after we click “ok.” 

Anyway, not sure what to do now. We are gathering documents for the interview. However, what do we do next? Do we wait until it’s at the Embassy in Tunis? Do we fill out a packet 3? Are there any other documents I need to send to the NVC before they schedule our interview? All the info everywhere has got me a bit 🤪

 

Any help is appreciated. TIA

Call the hospital and find their requirements. My hospital didn't require me to fast. Good luck!

Do we wait until it’s at the Embassy in Tunis? I have no information so it's best to contract the Embassy to determine what is next. See #2 below. They will send you via email the packet 3. I don't have one for your embassy so if you could PM here on VJ with a copy I then would have one available for those who come behind you. Thanks.

Do we fill out a packet 3? P3 only outlines the steps and required documentation needed for the interview.

Are there any other documents I need to send to the NVC before they schedule our interview? There is nothing to send to NVC, you'll be dealing with your embassy from this point on.

1. Completed Form DS-160, Online Nonimmigrant Visa Application. You (and any eligible children applying for K-2 visas) must: (1) complete Form DS-160 and (2) print the DS-160 confirmation page to bring to your interview. 

• A passport valid for travel to the United States and with a validity date at least six months beyond your intended period of stay in the U.S. (unless country-specific agreements provide exemptions).
• Divorce or death certificate(s) of any previous spouse(s) for both you and the U.S. citizen sponsor
• Police certificates from your present country of residence and all countries where you have lived for six months or more since age 16 (Police certificates are also required for accompanying children age 16 or older)
• Medical examination (vaccinations are optional, see below)
• Evidence of financial support (Form I-134, Affidavit of Support, may be requested)
• Two (2) 2x2 photographs. See the required photo format explained in Photograph Requirements
• Evidence of relationship with your U.S. citizen fiancé(e)
• Payment of fees, as explained below

Note: The consular officer may ask for additional information, such as photographs and other proof that the relationship with your U.S. citizen fiancé(e) is genuine. Documents in foreign languages, other than the language of the country in which the application takes place, should be translated. Applicants should take to the visa interview clear, legible photocopies of civil documents and translations, such as birth and divorce certificates. Original documents and translations will be returned.

Got two questions here: do I have to fill in DS160 for the case to leave NVC or it's going to be sent to the embassy either way? I thought the normal process is that you fill in DS160 after you get a package from the embassy, if you're not in a rush and don't need to speed up the whole process.

 

And another question is: I know we have to have a proof of our conversations so basically I'm just taking screenshots of our texts via messenger. I take two screenshots per month, since we've met (1,5 year ago). Will that be enough? Our conversation is so long, I can't imagine taking more! I take screenshots with the dates and about most important topics from embassy's perspective, like our flights or travels or plans. I feel like I'm overthinking it big time. 🙄

No you don't have to fill it out in order for your case to leave the NVC. 

 

I think that is sufficient. I'm sure you have other evidence as well, but just for the record don't only rely on your messages for evidence.

If you're talking about interview itself, i'd just take a screenshot every month, place 6 per page and that's it. I'm not sure if they will even look at the conversations. Pictures, and tickets are the best ones. 
In Vilnius, the P3 for interview doesn't even mention proof of relationship..

NOA2 was 10/17. NVC received my case on 11/9. Just got off the phone with them and was told my case # was just assigned. Should leave in the next batch!
