should he go ahead and do the medical and police clearance ? Do they expire within weeks ??

Do not do the medical until you have a date for interview because it expires with 6 month including time of arrival to the US

Just called NVC and was told that our case was received on Nov 14th but still in processing.

hopefully we could catch the next shipment date

btw, our NOA 2 was approved on Oct, 29

We just got our case number from the NVC today, do we just wait now? the lady on the phone told my fiance to start filling out stuff on the site... did she have us confused with a different visa? as far as i know the k1 next step is waiting for the nvc to send the papers to the embassy here in moscow... right?

Technically, this is the next step. However, you are able to start filling out the DS160 if you would like. Or you can wait for the embassy to tell you to complete the form.

I believe @Greenbaum doesn't have P3 from Nepal. Guess When you receive one could you please forward to Greenbaum and myself as well? My file is at NVC ATM and expecting to get to Nepal in next shipment.

You want the vaccinations before the medical so when you are at the medical the clinic can do your exam and complete the DS-3025 which is a VERY important document to have for your AOS after marriage. Then after that you want the interview. These are the steps that move you along the fastest without interruption. Your mileage may vary.
