We have seen that sometimes they will renew a form that expires and we have seen it continue to be used until such time as a new form is release. In any event, they will most likely use the start date of the new rendition of that form and they will tell you when they will discontinue a form. All updates to forms can be tracked here: https://www.uscis.gov/forms-updates  If you see a form that will soon expire and it may expire after it's intended use (Embassy interview) then it's best to wait till you are closer to your interview.

 

All previous editions are accepted anyway. The OMB (Office of Management and Budget) expiration date only matters internally for the USCIS. That expiration date has nothing to do with whether or not it will be acceptable for you to use. The edition date is what matters. Thank you God, in 3 days consulate received it and in the CEAC website its ready status. I just updated my timeline. Medical on the 21st and Interview probably will sked it on Dec. 5th

As you have read, Nigeria is a problematic embassy to get an interview dates. People are waiting upwards of three months. Now that you have had a lot of practice waiting for USCIS and NVC now you get to wait on the embassy and there is nothing you can do to speed that process up. So, sit back, pour a cool one for yourself and think about blue skyies and orange sun sets.

Why are you asking that question here. Someone from Germany, Nigeria or Netherlands is not going to have that answer. Ask over in the sub-forum and you will get an answer that is more "boots on the ground" then what you'll get here.

Yes my fiancé has already paid for the DS160 but when he tries to register no dates are showing at all...😓😓😓

 

should he go ahead and do the medical and police clearance ? Do they expire within weeks ??

#10 asks for the USCIS Online Account Number.

Is this the same thing as our USCIS Case Number?

Do I need this, or is putting my SSN good enough?

Use the WAC number from NOA1 or NOA 2.

There are enough of you from Nigeria that you could create a thread for others to work together on specific issues that you all are facing. Scroll through some of the "monthly threads" and invite others from Nigeria to join. India has created such a thread and they are helping each other out.

Wet signatures are no longer required for I-134 for your Nigeria interview. You are able to send in scanned documents. I signed, scanned and emailed mine to my fiancé to print and it was accepted.

 

Scheduling the interview can take 1 to 3 months. Once you pay the 95,400 naira ($265) visa fee in a GTB Bank, you can go online to schedule an appointment at www.ustraveldocs.com You can get the forms online at http://nigeria.usembassy.gov/immigrant_visa_forms.html No need to go to the consulate to pick up forms. Download forms if unexpired or get current versions of same forms. Email LagosIV@state.gov for your interview date.

Just FYI for you and others. There is no fee for the DS-160. What you are paying is the interview application fee (the exact title eludes me but I think you get the idea)

Just an update: 
Our case left NVC on Tuesday and, going by the DHL trick I found on here it was received 10 minutes ago! Yay! CEAC is still (obviously) saying "In Transit".
