Okay, the thing is that USCIS and Embassies should accept the scanned copy (someone will chime in with the "law" on that). If You have a way to get the original to him/her, i'd advise to do so. I did.
It might depend on million things that day, but generally the scanned copies should be accepted. 
Some say copy is fine, some say original. I say both. Have your fiance hand the copy, and at the same time, have the original ready to be sent out  asap, JUST IN WORST CASE.

US embassy in Jakarta requires original I130 with wet signature.  So check with your specific embassy because the requirements might be different.  Good luck!

NVC notifies us that our case is in transit today. How long it takes for embassy to receive and status says “ready”? The interview is on November 19th

Just got an email today its in transit to my consulate. Can I do my medical now while waiting to get the actual letter from consulate?

I think you meant I-134 not the I-130 which is the form that married couples file for a CR-1 file. Quite the opposite of the I-129f.

 

BTW, I don't have a P3 from Jakarta Embassy. Do you have a copy that you can scan to a PDF and send it to me in a PM here on VJ? I would appreciate it. I don't have one so I can't help anyone from that Embassy. Thanks.

FYI, when you received your case number, even though your case was still at NVC, you could’ve done your medical exams.

I hope you are not waiting for the letter from the consulate as you will be burning through a month waiting. Here is what you need to get started. Don't wait. If you have your case number and your file is leaving NVC for USEM then you can begin by completing your DS=160, paying your interview fee, scheduling your interview but out about 4-5 weeks, complete CFO and the medical. By the time you have all that done your interview date will have arrived and your case will have been received by USEM and your status set to "ready".

Just a word of caution. If you do your medical too soon then you are faced with a shorter visa validity period. You get six months from the medical, so if the case has not left NVC and you do your medical and then your interview a month later and then your visa arrives 2 weeks later you just burned through 2 months of validity. Now you only have 4 months to get to US soil. Not that might not matter to your personal situation, but I only want to educate you and anyone else processing through USEM.

It can take 2-3 weeks. You may have to cancel and reschedule your interview. If you do, there is no harm done. But keep your eye on CEAC and wait for the case to be set to "ready" before you walk in for the interview.

I want you and Von now to go over to the sub-forum and begin asking your questions there. You are through with this thread. Unrelated, but since you are so helpful here, I thought I'd ask.   I was under impression that you needed the NVC number to start the DS160.  I keep reading here that I can go ahead and do that with the USCIS (WA..) number?  Can you confirm
