Hi! Quick question. Why is it that when I write my case number on the CEAC tracker, "Your search did not return any data." comes out? 

I put Immigrant Visa, the right captcha and the right case number. So odd.

Once you receive your case number and your case has been set to READY at CEAC it's time to be in charge of what time you choose when things get done. To smooth that trail for you I have a few things that will help you process your visa there in the Philippines.

 

You'll need your Eligibility Letter, which is emailed from USEM. Here is an example of what it looks like http://www.visaconnection-philippines.com/embassy-letter.html

 

Start by visiting Hanks site where he has taken the time and research, and of course, it helps if you spent 8 plus years helping folks in the Philippines sub-forum get their visas, where he has listed each step. With those steps, he includes the what, when and why to complete the item. Many have used the website and have had little or NO problems securing a visa from USEM.

You must use the Embassy case number issued by NVC. If you are using the WAC number it will not work.

Answers are in the links I provided above. I am assuming you are processing in the Philippines but can't really tell because you have an incomplete profile.

It depends on your embassy. I have to wait to receive Packet 3 in order to arrange an appointment. However, other people can arrange an interview as soon as they get their case number. The best option is going to your country’s portal/ forum or read about someone from your country’s experience.

I also emailed NVC on Friday to ask them if they can send my case to Italy instead of London (I also send them my passport info to speed it up) thus changing my case number. 

I'm trying to determine if my case has left NVC yet. I know you've said the next batch is leaving mid November, but the guy on the phone told me for some reason that my case could leave as soon as saturday morning (so yesterday morning).  

I need to know whether or not my petition has already been sent to determine whether NVC has taken my request in and changed my case number. If it's already been sent it means it's going to London.

Without employment this may be a bumpy road. It sounds like you will need a co-sponsor but keep in mind that the Embassy is not obligated to except a co-sponsor. If you do choose to go that route here are couple of items be aware of.

 

Your co-sponsor needs to meet the requirement for their own household size plus the foreign fiancé(e). They fill out their own separate I-134 and provide their supporting documentation: most recent tax transcript (or complete copy of return), and proof of current income such as letter from employer and/or recent pay stubs. Add in proof that the co-sponsor is a USC or LPR. Your fiancé(e) will hand your I-134 and supporting documents along with the co-sponsors at the interview when asked for them. The co-sponsor must provide every document required in the I-134 as it does for the applicant, not just "dads pay stubs". Follow the official instructions for the I-134 and you should then be prepared when asked for the financials. Keep in mind, that every Embassy is different and they do not have to except a co-sponsor.

I doubt that it left as indicated by NVC but one never knows. Try this little trick:

Go to www.dhl.com click Express then Tracking, then Track by Shipper's Reference, and on this page you add your search information. You change the day and month to what you think your package might have left NVC or call NVC to get the date your package had left NVC in route to your Embassy then go to the DHL website and enter the following information:

 

EXAMPLE:

* Shipper´s Reference : EXP 24 MAR 2011A  (This is the date you think it left NVC, just substitute the date and leave everything else as is)

* Date range for shipment - From: 23 - 03 - 2011

* Date range for shipment - To: 26 - 03 - 2011

Account Number - Leave this blank

Shipment Destination: Manila (Works for any Country Just replace the city where the Embassy is located)

If that fails then try this which I know works:

 

If you wish to have your immigrant/fiancée visa file transferred from one Embassy to another U.S. Embassy/Consulate, please contact the appropriate U.S. Embassy/Consulate directly in the country where you wish to apply and follow their instructions for case transfer. Please click here for the full list of all U.S. Embassies and Consulates overseas.

 

The old Embassy will need to receive a formal file transfer request from that U.S. Embassy/Consulate in the country where you wish to apply. Upon receipt of this request, they will immediately forward the file for the New Embassy to process.

 

Once you contact your New Embassy you then can discuss the transfer of your fee. Be sure to have your payment receipt available.
