How are you able to get such detailed explanations when checking your case number?

I just got off the phone with NVC.  I keep getting the same answer..."Sir it can take up to 6 weeks for your petition to reach us here. "  Then they do not want to give me any more information.

What number are you dilaing?

Sincerly,

I'm dialing 603.334.0700 and I just ask them if my case been assigned a case number but when I called them today and gave them my receipt number the person just immediately said we received ur case Oct. 31st and she then realized that the 31st was today so she then went on to say it can take up to 8weeks to receive the actual case number however history says otherwise so I will call tomorrow. In my opinion if the NVC people keep telling you they havent received ur case its true....they will def give u a case number if there is one to be given. My case was approved on Oct. 10th and I finally got the ur case was received from them today the 31st...if they are not giving u more info its bcuz there is no info to be given until they get your case....in my opinion. No worries ur time is coming when did u get your approval?

I totally understand nothing wrong with being eager we all have been eager at one point or another during this phase so its normal.... I was calling before and they would tell me the same blah then I got a little busy and hadnt had time to call and today I called and at least they finally received my case.... So I'm hoping for a case number tomorrow or at least by the end of the week....ur approval was 5 days after mine so ur time should be coming although there really is no rhyme or reason to all this immigration madness....hang in there soon my friend very soon u will have a case number...

Hey my friend finally got my Google voice to work and I just got off the phone with them... They said that they just received my case today Oct. 31st but has yet to be assigned a case number....so I assume I should try back tomorrow. I'm so happy for you that your case is in transit have u checked the interview schedule to see the turn around time of getting an interview once the embassy receives it?

Wow that’s great to hear. Maybe tomorrow or Friday you will have your case number. US embassy here in Hongkong are the ones who schedules our interview. Nothing we can do in here but to wait. I’m still hoping for this month for i just wanna get this done.

Once you get your case number can your fiancé schedule his medical and interview?

Once you call them to get your case number just give them your email address via phone call.

So my case went to "In Transit" on the NVC tracker. I called Knightsbridge to book my medical, and booked a date I wanted - 5th December. They had earlier dates but I'm visiting my fiance from 13th Nov to 3rd Dec so I couldn't take them.

I sent off my DS-160 and booked my interview for 2 weeks later, on the 19th December. (For anyone curious, I could have booked an interview on the 15th November so the appointment wait in the UK isn't too bad at the moment).

Reeeeeally hoping to be verbally approved at the interview before Christmas, and to hopefully receive my visa in Jan! Going for a January move date I think. It's getting a bit surreal now, I think it's all going to move pretty quickly.

😅
