Yes, you use that form to update your email. It's like a heads up for NVC, you telling them "hey i know you got my case, not sure if you've got correct email, here it is".

Fill out that ASK NVC form, and tell them that Your case should be forwarded to NVC soon, and You'd like to update your email.

Excellent! Thanks for clearing that up.

Hopefully that works better than the apps and websites waiting for the NOA1.

On page 1 (some people do not read every page nor start from beginning) Greenbaum first post was simple instructions on signing up at NVC for email update....see below 👇

My previous post was me confirming that it does indeed work because they sent me an email out of the blue.

I did exactly what Greenbaum instructed

I simply put my email address and my fiancé’s email address in that box...that was it...I didn’t even say update me on that box..very simple just put your email address

FYI - Also the ds160 I believe is only good for 30 days unless you download it and then re-upload it again. If the 30 days pass and your case still isn't with the embassy, you'll need to complete the entire thing again.

*if you have your case number don't forget to update your timeline*

Our case just got sent to the embassy!! I hope yours is on the way since we had similar timelines :) any thread that I should be checking out for NVC-->embassy? I am sure there is one but I couldn't find it...

There is embassy specific sub-forums. For most of them, not all. Mine doesn't have one as Lithuanian embassy gets barely any K1's and CR-1's. Israel might have, Greenbaum could shed more light on that.

Yes. Just another tool to follow your case while it is in transit to your Embassy. You'll know when it arrives and you'll give a few days and then check ceac and it should be set to ready. Follow the instructions that I posted to use the DHL tacking.

How do you track it via dhl? For some readon i dont see that post.

Misunderstood my post...not annoy me at all...that’s not purpose of this site...was simply pointing out that it does work and very easy to sign up..

if anyone would ever feel annoyed that would be Greenbaum but I don’t speak for him and I’m guessing he is not annoyed because he is always so helpful and answering same questions all the time. I would say rather Greenbaum is amused...but definitely not annoyed. Anyone here is just trying to help anyone else..that’s all. I learned along time ago that you can never exactly judge tone and attitude in a text or email unless someone used all CAPS and exclamations 👍😉

You asked and I delivered. Use this little tool to see when your case will arrive. Keep in mind this is ALL cases for Ukraine, Poland not just yours but they all go together. So if one arrives they all arrive.

Go to www.dhl.com click Express then Tracking, then Track by Shipper's Reference, and on this page you add your search information. You change the day and month to what you think your package might have left NVC or call NVC to get the date your package had left NVC in route to Manila then go to the DHL website and enter the following information:

EXAMPLE:

* Shipper´s Reference : EXP 24 MAR 2011A  (This is the date you think it left NVC, just substitute the date leave everything else as is)

* Date range for shipment - From: 23 - 03 - 2011

* Date range for shipment - To: 26 - 03 - 2011

Account Number - Leave this blank

Shipment Destination: Manila / Works for any Country Just add the city where the Embassy is located

When I received email of NOA2 approval, I followed advice here to go to NVC site and input email address. On Monday this week, I called NVC to ask a simple question about whether need hard copy of NVC letter for embassy interview or not (which I was informed did not need). So this morning I receive this email below 👇

I didn’t provide my email address when talk to the NVC on phone...I only gave them the WAC number....so surprised when I got this email this morning...at least it confirms that when I went to input my email address that they have it and will know when they receive my file 🙂

I also followed the instructions on tab 1 and submitted the email addresses. So far, I have not received any acknowledgment email. Not sure if this is normal but I will sit and wait.

I'm looking for clarification on this step to take.

The link takes you to the Ask NCV page,  does completing this form and including the beneficiary's email in the question box update your email with the NVC?

If so, how reliable is the email service to update you on your case?

Thanks!

Q1 Yes Q2 As in all things in this journey your on, sometimes it works and sometime it doesn't.  I have seen some who got a reply from USCIS when case left for NVC, then NVC when case arrived, then NVC when CS assigned and the NVC to Embassy. Your mileage may vary.

It's now time to move over to your country/region sub-forum. Top of the page. Blue ribbon. Select "forums" and scroll 3/4 of the way down and select what is closes to your country.

My point is that I only got that email because I called them on Monday to ask a simple question unrelated to my case. They then sent me that email I shared and they only got my email because I used the link that Greenbaum shared. I’m just sharing the fact that it does work. If you call them and ask questions, then you will get an email like the one I shared..
