May I ask you what number you need to put there?  USCIS number? it tells me invalid.

Use "immigrant" for now. It should show up. The K-1 process is quite strange. For a time, it is both a non-immigrant and immigrant visa type. That is why the links (what you received in the email) will send you the process for immigrant which would be the I-864 and DS-260 even though it truly is a non-immigrant visa requiring I-134 and the DS-160. As you go through the stages, within the NVC system you look up your file under immigrant (ceac.state.gov/). It stays that way until after your interview and the approval and your visa is ready for issue. At that point, it changes over to non-immigrant. It truly is a non-immigrant visa with immigrant intent.

Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline or your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine your Embassy. You need to put your case number, the one that the NVC provides you.

Does anyone know if you can arrange the interview once you are given a case number by the NVC, or must we wait until the consulate receive it?

Maybe, but i remember reading somewhere on here that some embassy's were getting smart to this and making people wait to schedule their interview by some means in their tracking system.

I have a question about something I read in a different thread about NVC and I'm confused.   The USC OP is talking about having to upload her divorce documents to NVC?  Are we supposed to actively do anything with our documents when our case is at NVC on their site?

A CR1 or IR1 is a spousal visa, an immigrant visa issued to an alien who wishes to enter the U.S. to live and stay with their U.S. citizen or permanent resident spouse. The “CR” from CR1 stands for conditional resident and is applicable to couples who've been married fewer than 2 years. IR-1 means Immediate Relative this visa is for couples who are married for 2years and more.. K1 is a fiancé visa🙂

Here's hoping we get some case numbers today!

 

But....I've got a horrible feeling we wont. Something is taking a long time with all these October cases going from USCIS to NVC.

 

I had been monitoring and most people were getting case numbers about 15-16 days after their NOA2 notification. Then when it got to October everything seems to have stopped with the exception of maybe a couple of very lucky people who have got their case numbers by now.

Hello everyone,  does anyone of you had   trouble checking your status on NVC using this link:

It keeps showing RUNTIME ERROR everytime i enter the case number.  

 

is their system down? Or was it just me?
