Just as a compass check...once i get the case number i cant start the DS 160 is this correct?

I dont think so. I tried to see if i can access the ceac, but it asks for the case number and the invoice id number, which will be on the letter sent out by NVC

@Greenbaum hi sir .. just wanna ask about "eligibility letter"? I've seen a lot of post on facebook visa journey group regarding eligibility letter, they said their interview got rescheduled because they didn't have the eligibility letter  during their interview .. they also said you shouldn't book your medical and interview appointment unless you have eligibility letter ... I'm quite confused about it ..  is the eligibility letter the NVC letter or it's different? I'm from Philippines by the way .. thank you 😁

The Philippines process is one of the fastest and easiest to do. The eligibility letter is the same as the NVC letter, both terms get bantered around. I'm going to give you he instructions of everything you will need to process through the Philippines. Read the links and follow the steps. Guarantee you will not have hiccups if you follow my advice. Hank's website is the best as it gives you each step, the order of the step and the documents that are needed OH! and where the docs can be found.

Once you receive your case number it's time to be in charge of what time you choose when things get done. To smooth that trail for you I have a few things that will help you process your visa there in the Philippines.

Start by visiting Hanks site where he has taken the time and research, and of course, it helps if you spent 8 plus years helping folks in the Philippines sub-forum get their visas, where he has listed each step. With those steps, he includes the what, when and why to complete the item. Many have used the website and have had little or NO problems securing a visa from USEM.

http://www.visaconnection-philippines.com/k-1-visa-application.html

Next, you'll want to connect with those who are processing through the Philippines in the VJ Philippines sub-forum that way you will be with like-minded ppl who are sharing their experiences and also asking and answering questions. Since most in this thread is processing through another country they would be hard-pressed to explain what is needed for the Philippines.

You'll find this on Hank's website but I will give it to you early and that is the Packet 3 Letter for USEM. It's found here:

https://ph.usembassy.gov/visas/immigrant-visas/fiancee-visa/the-interview/

Here is the Packet 3 letter.

There you have it. Everything you need to get your visa. Good luck and smooth sailing.

Once you get confirmation to your interview date, print of a couple of screen shots as you may need one to get you into the medical. I have no idea if any of this works for Barbados but it does work for the Philippines. Get back to me with what happens. Would like to add that to my Barbados notes so when the next persons ask I can inform them.

What about Vietnam? You have notes on that country?

Here is some information including the Embassy P3 for you to get a head start

https://vn.usembassy.gov/visas/immigrant-visas/required-documents/

Usually you will not receive the P3 letter in the mail. Do an online service request. They will respond typically in 2 -3 days with the instruction (P3). You will need to submit D-160 and pay the visa fee, then schedule the medical afterward. Technically, you will need the P3 to complete the medical exam, although some have gotten by with just the interview confirmation. I wouldn't risk it and would just request that they email it to you via: https://vn.usembassy...a-inquiry-form/  When using the form be sure to add in the comments section the last 4 digits of your SSN or they will email you back asking for it which causes further delays.

You can fill out the DS-160 but can't submit it without the case number. It times out a lot so takes awhile to complete. Might as well start now.

what is the schedule which USCIS uses to send the cases to the NVC? once a week twice or what is it?

My fiancé called the NVC yesterday morning and a very nice guy told him that it's twice a month, and each pallet can contain as much as 100,000 cases... ugh

I called this morning at 7am est and they still hadn’t received ours. I’ll be trying them again Monday and everyday until I get some good news!
