I got this email and text at 5.30am PST today, I'm hoping it means my case has been touched and being sent to NVC.  I logged into the old and new site and they both still say Approved.  Has anyone else received this message right before they got their new case # from NVC?

I got this email yesterday too but mine hasn’t been touched since mid—August (except we were approved October 5th). I get it about once a month. No idea why. New site for me still says case was received—never changed to approved.

It means they are still working on your file and you have not been forgotten. You may get this a few times while your file is being adjudicated at USCIS. No need to be concerned.

I just tracked my case in the website. And it appears this.

Who has to take these steps my fiance ( petioner) or me ( beneficiary)? I’m confused now. I thought he was already done doing the paperwork and it was my turn now 🤔🤦🏽‍♀️

Thanks

This is general message for "Immigrant visa's" for example CR-1. With K1, At this point no one takes any action. Only petitioner can start preparing and collecting affidavit of support. documentation.

So, what's the earliest that it could be at all useful to start calling NVC? 2 weeks? Or is there a chance my files will get there sooner?

2 weeks is a relatively consistent average but an average nonetheless.

The easiest way to know if they received it is give them a call everyday. That way you can track. They will only notify you thru email if you sign up for a notification and that is when they already assign you your case number.

You can start calling at 2 weeks but right now it seems that it taking longer than that. There is a possibility your files would get there sooner, but I'd say chances are slim.

You should give it at least two weeks. Other than that you're just wasting time on hold.

Hello everyone!

We got our case approved in the 29th of September and it got received in the NVC on the 23rd of October. So between 3 to 4 weeks.

Since the embassy of my country does not process immigrant visas, including the K1, I will have to go to Paris for the interview. Anyone here has anything to share about the process in Paris for portuguese nationals?

The visa process is already so expensive and having to spend more on flights, stay and food is really annoying.

Have a great day!

Sorry, no experience about traveling to Paris. However, empathy as our country doesn't process either so we are traveling from Mozambique to South Africa. Gets expensive when you have to travel to another country to go to the embassy plus save for the move to the U.S.
