Spain requires the embassy send the packet 3 which allows the beneficiary to schedule and attend the medical and needs to be brought to the medical appointment, and in order to book the interview Spain requires packet 4. I have not verified this but this information came from someone who processed recently.

Thank you! I actually found your response on another filer and got this information.

Yeah makes sense. I see you almost have the same dates as ours. Our NOA2 is 17th so I'm hoping by the 1st week of November we'll have a case number to make an account on CEAC and proceed with the interview and medical appointment. Any chances of interview being in December?

If things go well then I would think the interview in November. 😃

Lets stay in touch with the progress updates.

I heard you have to enter manually. Let me know if that works.

Well here's something interesting: I put the petitioner's date of birth and it worked. I'm double worried now lol

I'll wait for their reply and when they receive my case, I'll check if they have the correct information.

Ughhh

This might sound silly but I'm confused. We received our NOA2 on October 3rd and our NVC case number on October 19th. When I spoke to the NVC, they said we have to wait until the case reaches the embassy before we can fill out the DS160, I-134, pay the fee, medical exam etc.

Is this correct? We already have the DS160 and I134 filled out and ready to go but wasn't sure when to go about sending it online.

Also, now that we have an NVC case number, are we able to schedule my fiance's medical exam and interview or are we also only able to do that when the case reaches the embassy?

Sent I-129F: March 13, 2018

NOA 1: March 15, 2018

NOA 2: October 3, 2018

Case Arrived at NVC: October 19, 2018

Case Number Received: October 22, 2018

NVC Shipped Case to Embassy: October 30, 2018

Case Arrived at Embassy: November 2, 2018

Medical Exam: November 19, 2018

Interview: December 7, 2018

Interview Results: Approved!

Visa Received: January 2, 2019

Point of Entry to US: January 15, 2019

Married: March 11th, 2019

Sent I-485, I-765, and I-131: April 30, 2019

Have gone to your country's portal here on VJ? Blue ribbon at the top of this page and select portal. Have you been to your Embassy website? Have you emailed your Embassy for the Packet 3 letter? Have you searched here on VJ. Upper right hand corner is the search box. Have you looked for anyone from your country who maybe a few weeks ahead of you? Just some questions for you ponder.

When should I start worrying that they lost my noa2. I hate seeing received on the sites when I got the hard copy. Even worse when I call and tier 1 tells me my case is still only received, c'mon NVC, come through.

Same my friend, I mean I don't know why some people whose NOA2 were approved later have been arriving to the NVC while October's first week NOA2s haven't! :(

The batch mailings go out next week on T/W so you should see many approvals in the next days leading up to that transfer. Worry a week from Friday.

Have you guys started working on the documents needed for the interview at USEM? Once you have your case number it's rock and roll time in the Phil. Have you copied any of my help on what is needed for USEM interview?

Yes sir, everything ready to go. Plus anything else they might ask for. Just waiting for go time. October 1 NOA2 and no arrival at NVC yet, someone's sleeping.

So, how does the NVC notify you when your case is received?  Or do they even notify you?   My NOA2 approval was yesterday, so I know it's going to be a good bit before I even get a NVC number.

The easiest way to know if they received it is give them a call everyday. That way you can track. They will only notify you thru email if you sign up for a notification and that is when they already assign you your case number.

Ah, ok. Thank you so much.  I signed up for e-alerts when I sent in my I-129F.   I got my NOA2 notification through text.

Try to call NVC 7am or 11:45pm EST for a much easier line to speak to their representatives.
