Got approved on the 9th and I still haven't been able to submit the "Ask NVC" form, it still says "invalid date of birth"  :(

Also be cognizant of the format. It's day-month-year, where most of us are used to month-day-year.

So if you use the little calendar to the side it will automatically do the correct format for you

There is also a case tracker app that you can put on your phone. However, for me it still never updated.

https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/case-tracker-for-uscis/id921827126?mt=8

I believe the iPhone Case Tracker for USCIS app pulls its information from the old website, which will let you pull case status using only a case number.

I'd logged in to both the old and new USCIS websites, and requested notifications.  I got a text notification first, and email a couple minutes later.  I checked the old website (Approved), and the new website (still showing Received).  Then, I checked the Case Tracker for USCIS app, and it was still showing "Received, last updated (insert time several hours ago)".  I clicked the "Refresh" icon, and the app updated to show "Approved".

App does use old website's info. Mine is stil "received" on new one. 20 days later.

I've been a silent reader for a couple weeks but we were finally approved on October 22! My Fiance is from Barcelona, Spain. Any chance there are any others that are filing from there, haven't a clue what steps need to be done before he gets an interview date. Congrats to all! This forum has helped so much :)

The form requests a date, in the format "dd/Month/yyyy", which I assumed was "DD/MM/YYYY", eg. 28/08/1965.  What it's actually asking for is 28/August/1965, which you will see if you use the little calendar that pops up.

I think this is a confusing and annoying date format, and I don't like it.

Additionally, that date format is not ISO 8601 compliant.

For everyone joined recently, i'd advise to take a peak at first 5-10 pages of this thread.
@greenbaum has answered most of the common questions in there, along other users throwing in some useful info.
Page 1 is very helpful, but other following pages has a lot of useful information as well. Including many P3's for different embassies.

best wishes,

P.

For everyone who has replied:

https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/ask-nvc.html

I've been using this link as shown on the first page, and I've been selecting the date of birth from the calendar that pops up. I've even tried different date formats but nothing works.

But thank you all anyway :)

I think your probably doing it right but just so that's it's said, the birth date selected should be the person receiving the visa, not the U.S. citizen petitioner.

Also maybe try and different browser?

Our embassy is also Islamabad and I don't think they send any P3 to the applicants.

Yeah makes sense. I see you almost have the same dates as ours. Our NOA2 is 17th so I'm hoping by the 1st week of November we'll have a case number to make an account on CEAC and proceed with the interview and medical appointment. Any chances of interview being in December?

Yes, I've selected the applicant's date of birth, not the petitioner's.

I've tried it all...

3 different browsers; sending as the petitioner and as the applicant; different date formats... ughhh

Spain requires the embassy send the packet 3 which allows the beneficiary to schedule and attend the medical and needs to be brought to the medical appointment, and in order to book the interview Spain requires packet 4. I have not verified this but this information came from someone who processed recently.
