Hey all... following this thread now. Received NAO2 dated 11 Oct 2018!!

Is anyone else here going to be going through the embassy in Bogota, Colombia??  Reviewing everything this evening and trying to figure out the timeline for how soon my fiancee might be able to get her interview and medical appointments.  Having to go to Bogota is so frustrating - how they don't have an embassy in Medellin I have no idea. It will be tough for her to get multiple days away from work, but we will make it happen one way or the other!

Question for anyone familiar with the Bogota embassy:  How long after the interview do they normally send back the passport (if approved)? Do they hand things back there, on the spot? Or do they deliver it later - and if so, now long?

We are hoping she can move to the US immediately at the start of the new year, so we have a couple of months to get this right.

Thanks, and good luck to all!

Most of your questions will be answered from the information below.

After you get your case number from NVC it would be a good idea if you were to connect with the VJ sub forum for all things dealing with the US Embassy in Colombia and they will answer your questions for the processing of your visa from their personal experience. Link:

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/96-mexico-latin-south-america/

Get the US Embassy Colombian K-1 Packet 3 (P3) at  https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B7hB3bl9Snfkb0NiMVFUd2JsVjA/view  as this is your bible needed to complete and receive your visa. The required documents are included and use the EL as a check list. Once you have completed or gathered the required documents you'll be ready for your interview. If it is not on the Embassy letter, it probably is not needed.

Last but not least, READ the pages on the US Embassy website for your country so that you are up to speed.

http://bogota.usembassy.gov/

One last place to check for information would be the VJ Wiki found here: http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/Special:AllPages and here http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/index.php?ctry=Colombia&cty=Bogota

Good luck and God's speed.

For those filling out the I-134, probably a dumb question but did you leave the lines blank that don’t apply or put NA in each line? The instructions say to put NA (the online form won’t let me put N/A) but the sample on VJ shows them left blank. Yeah, I’m a perfectionist lol

Hey!
Gonna tell what i do. Obviously there are additional software for editing and writing in PDF. I have no motivation to look so what i do is, fill out the form as much as i can using the adobe.
The things that require "Present" or "N/A" use Black pen, writing capital letters. Don't rush, don't write like 2 year old with crayon, and it will be good.
I used "N/A' for all not applicable questions, unless it specifically said to skip the question (If you answered no/yes, skip to blablabla).
You gotta remember that people like you are processing the cases, so these type of things wont throw them a red flag, or an RFE just because you used a black pen, with legible handwriting.
Writing all over the place, inconsistent, different colored ink etc, of course will create issues. Be sensible and common sense. By being perfectionist myself, i know your stuggle! haha
best of luck!

I'm following yours too!   I got approved today, so I'm under no illusion that I'll be done before December.   Some sites say the NVC should have our cases in a few days..some say a few weeks.  Judging by the posts here, the latter sounds closer to truth.   Good luck!
