For DS-160, when question says “has anyone ever filed an immigrant petition on your behalf” is that YES for this application? Or are they asking for before this?

And under Travel Information it asks for Application Receipt/Petition Number. Is that the WAC number or the case number that we don’t have yet?

is there a better place to ask these questions? Thanks all!

The key word is FILED. Not approved or completed. So has anyone ever FILED for you besides your current petitioner (in this case,  you = beneficiary). If so YES, if not NO. Most answer it NO as they have never had a case FILED for them prior to their current petitioner.

And under Travel Information it asks for Application Receipt/Petition Number. Is that the WAC number :thumbs:or the case number that we don’t have yet?

is there a better place to ask these questions? Thanks all!

Okay thanks. It doesn’t say “besides your current petitioner” in the question though. So do you just know that that is what they mean? Or can I find this info someplace?

Lol you’re funny. Obviously that was my first place to look. But it doesn’t clarify. I didn’t know if there was a sample completed form someplace like there are for the other forms.

Ok. Here you go.

Here is a good primer for completing the DS-160. http://www.visajourney.com/content/ds-160-help-and-frequently-asked-questions-faqs Also, I have these two from two Embassy's. The DS-160 is the same for most Embassy's. When you are filling it out for your country only country specific questions may appear. So if the example doesn't show it, that goes for all links I share here with you, then don't panic as it isn't a requirement for your country.
