My fiancee's visa got approved on Feb 7. Huge thanks to @Greenbaum and a lot of others for the help and assistance along the way. Looking forward to her arrival later this month.

Congratulations. All embassies will tell you this. Please adhere to it as I have seen some who had to pay for a new ticket and cough up a fine to the airlines. Just saying.

You are advised not to make travel arrangements for departure or to dispose of personal property or resign employment until you have your visa in hand. An immigrant visa is usually valid for a maximum of six months from the date of issuance. You must travel and make a first application for admission to the United States using your immigrant visa within that 6-month period.

Well, got NOA1's for AoS, EAD, AP. Moved to AoS threads.
Anyone, who needs help with AoS, i'll help out with what i know :)

Telling right now:
Once you have entered USA, next day go to Social Security Office and apply for card/number. Bring printed out I-94, Passport, SS-5 filled out. You are eligible for SSN right away (no need to wait 14 as everything now is electronic). It'll take 2-4 weeks (us took exactly 4weeks with christmas and NYE), BUT you'll be some steps ahead. If you'll marry first, they won't issue SSN before EAD.
Arrival->SS office->marriage-> SS office update name->AoS, EAD, AP.

Has anyone seen this before: image.png.31a2a0f92dbdf03942335976c0075d19.png where there is no document delivery information updated and on the ceac website, we noticed that the date has been updated from February 7th to February 11th but still stating under administrative processing.

If your dates are being updated, such as yours are, then it means someone is "touching" your case and preparing it for the next stage. This is normal and there is nothing to be concerned about. Just more time waiting.

Thank you for the quick response, I also, saw from another post you had posted on that to always look at the ceac site as that is your true source. Thanks again.

@Greenbaum I would like to thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for your assistance, diligence in responding in a timely manner, and always providing top quality (hilarious) responses.  It has been over a year and a half going through this process for us with tons of bumps, mistakes and all out burst of tears. However, every time we got down we looked to a higher power and knew that things would work out according to plans. We were issued the visa today and my fiance can finally meet his 8 month old son for the first time and my heart is so heavy.  I thank you to all of you who have posted and responded as I have sometimes just been behind the scenes reading others experiences and trying to keep my head above water.

Happy Valentines Day as this is the best Valentines I have ever had!!!!!

Not sure if anyone has ever asked this question, but would anyone know what the case would be if your fiance needs health insurance before you guys get married?

My fiance and I are waiting 2 weeks for his family to come into town to get married, but in the meantime he won't be able to get on my insurance until after. Thanks, truly appreciate the answers I've received and more.

You would have to buy Obama Care :crying: or a temp health insurance. Many do not bother with health insurance until they are married and then added to the petitioner's work policy.

Here is a thread from a few years back that address's different options.

Thank you for the accolades. I am truly appreciative. As a couple, if you have gotten through this without a breakup then you can face anything that comes your way as a couple as you move forward in your life together. I wish all the best to the two of you.

Thanks @Greenbaum My fiance is a very cautious person so he was more so worried about if something happened in the next two weeks that result a hospital visit or so. LOL

Applied for her social security card today after 3 weeks. She wasn't in the SAVE system so the employee have me a later saying it will be 4 weeks until I get a denial letter or the SS card @Greenbaum

It'll take around that time they told you. She is in the system, they just have to verify with DHS. You'll receive SS Card. Dont forget to update your last name after you two get married!
