I appreciate your response. The CENOMAR response was in response to our initial question in regards to our current situation. I (the petitioner) called NVC to check status as our case was received on 11/13 and a MCN number assigned on 11/25. Our case did not head to the embassy that week nor did it go Tues. or Wed. this week so I called to inquire about our case am was told we are in administrative processing. I'm having a hard time finding much information about this at the NVC level. Any ideas as to why we might be in AP at NVC?

Also, any idea of what the average time frame is for something like that to be resolved?

NOA2 was 10/20. I'm really confused because I felt our packet was great.

As always, we appreciate all of the feedback and assistance provided.

There is no way with any certainty to give your question of "how long" or "why" because we just don't know what is going on in the background with USCIS/NVC. I wish I had a better answer but I don't. Same broken record, just have to have more patience.

That is a sign that your file has arrived and the embassy has received and check your file in and set your status to Ready. Start gathering your documents, complete the forms and pay and schedule you interview.

Greenbaum,

today i received an email form USCIS saying " According to our records, your Form I-129F petition was returned to the California Service Center so that an administrative error could be corrected..."  What kind of administrative error it could be and how long it will take to correct it?

Usually some sort of box they didn't check or forgot to "stamp" the file.  Typically it's a couple weeks or so.   With the holidays,  your mileage may vary

YMMV

The most common is a housekeeping issue as nvc does not readjudicate the petition

When they receive the approved I-129f from USCIS, they check to ensure that it’s been stamped. NVC is occasionally will receive a petition from USCIS and it does not have the appropriate approval stamp in the upper left-hand corner. They are also checking to make sure that the three criminal questions have been answered. He noted that there are times when the petitioner will forget to complete those questions and those questions are subsequently missed by the adjudicator.  In both of these instances the case will then be sent back to USCIS. If one of these things occur with a case file recently received from USCSI, NVC would know within the first week of receiving the case.

Thanks for the assistance. The embassy contacted my fiance today via phone call. We thought they were going to send out a letter via mail/email. Thats something to note for future kingson embassy interviewees.

I have not received a call or anything in the mail. It has been way over a month.

@Greenbaum hey, I got curious and wonder why our status on ceac was still NO STATUS after my interview. While some are getting updates already. Is this normal? Hmm. What it means if there's no updates yet? I tried to check it both immigrant and non-immigrant, on immigrant says READY (case updated Dec 14) and on non-immigrant says NO STATUS. My interview was Dec 13. Im a bit worried. Lol.

Hello we sent back the P3 to German embassy on Dec 3rd. Yesterday got an email saying they need tax forms for 2017 (which were included in papers sent back) and that we would get another email in “the next couple of days” to schedule interview. Has anyone ever heard of this? With the end of the year quickly approaching I’m worried “next couple of days” means January. Already there seem to be only interviews available at the end of January and our NOA2 expires beginning of February. Anyone else have this happen?

I’m dealing with the same. My interview was December 12 and it hasnt changed status yet, it’s stuck on “ready”. So I guess we need to wait a little longer. 😅

I have seen visa's issued within hours of the interview, some the next day, some one week, some 2 weeks, some 6 months and some 1 year.

Your mileage may vary. Have some more patience.
