K2 question do I need to make a ceac profile for my future stepson? That is where we get the bank deposit slip to pay the visa fee in Panama. Our case is ready but we can’t do anything until we pay they wont schedule the interview. Thanks nina

We made just one.  Mind you this was for Japan but we were able to add my future stepson to the same profile and pay both at the same time.

We are in day 17 of “ready” and NOTHING. I am so frustrated. I looked at a ton of other timelines from Germany and they were anywhere from 3-9 days. We are at 17. I sent an email to the embassy on Friday to see if maybe it got lost in the mail. Hoping they respond Monday. It’s just so annoying. Every single part of our case has been so much longer than average. Just really ready for this to be OVER.

See its posts like this that worry me...why are you still waiting if it says Ready on the CEAC website?

Sincerly,

Alfredo and Denisse

Top 10 Mistakes at Visa Interviews

I’d like to add to that (since i’ve been to two interviews(DV and counting k1 for some reason lol )):

Be confident in what you say.

Give short answers.

Answer yes or no; to yes or no questions

smile and be pleasant.

Arrange your paperwork in folder, so you wouldn’t have to scribble thru 30pages and tell “please wait its somewhere here”

dress to interview accordingly (not necessarily a full on suit. But black jeans, and a nice sweater with dress shirt will do (to guys, can’t speak for a woman, cause im not an expert in that).

And be understanding that you have a privilege of obtaining a visa, not a right. Keep that in mind and it’ll go fine.

Officers are people too, but they are trained to spot fraud, they are just doing their job and it’s nothing personal.

Good luck everyone, and hoping to see many visas issued before Christmas!

I don’t know what you mean? For Germany you have to wait until they send you P3 after it arrives there. It arrived on the 15th. Still waiting. We’ve done everything to send back P3 as soon as he gets it. Same day. Am I missing something??

That is very unfortunate for you.  Germany is one of those countries that makes you wait.  Terrible.  No you are not missing anything.

Okay you got me really scared there! I’m convinced something is wrong because I don’t understand why it’s taking so long for them to send it! It’s literally every single step for us that’s outside the average time. And there is nothing complicated about our application at all!! He has medical done, visa paid, all documents to send back with P3 ready and organized. He can send it back five minutes after the darn letter comes and he’s ready for the interview but it just won’t come!! So frustrating. I’ve lost hope on December interview. Now looking forward to January. Insane!

The P3 came today, but it did not have the P3 that @Greenbaum had sent me for Germany that we used to gather all the info and documents. It just had a copy of the approved case and a letter asking his previous addresses that he has to fill out and sign. I’m sooooo confused because it says to return that with his “documents” but the actual K visa application checklist form wasn’t in the packet?

I was able to book the interview on the https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-it/iv/information/k_visa website as instructed by the letter received from NVC and already received the confirmation, but the CEAC still shows “in transit”.

The pouch reached the Consulate in Italy on Nov., 30th and the above website didn’t let me book the interview until that day so I went ahead thinking everything was ok.

Should I worry about something or am I just overthinking?? lol

Glad to know I'm not the only one obviously on edge. Of course I wrote an email to them this morning asking and then wrote back and said "never mind." Feel like SUCH an idiot!! He already sent it back today in the mail so hopefully the P4 will come soon and he can get the interview scheduled. It's so nice for it to be moving!!

Also they returned our actual application to my fiance. On the application was written a note about my divorce not being a long time ago. It was finalized July 2017 but obviously I was separated for a long time before that. Is that odd?? I wonder if they will ask about that in the interview!
