I was able to pre-book the interview (waiting for payment confirmation now) even if our case is not under “ready status” yet but unluckily the first available date is Jan., 8th

I was hoping for something quicker but at least we have a date now. This journey is almost over and I can reconnect with my loved fiancé.😍

You can keep an eye on the booking site for a cancellation and if one appears, cancel yours and schedule the new one. You can do this two times without penalty. The penalty is a 90-day wait period and paying the interview fee again and if the medical is older then 6 months there is a good possibility you will have to redo it along with the payment. Just saying.

Got our tracking # on DHL today....I'm good from here on out, not going to ask anymore annoying questions.  I normally follow up each day where i left off in this thread but made a tragic human mistake of not seeing my question answered previously.  Good luck everyone...

All the best to you. Find your sub-forum for your region, go to the top of this page and within the "blue ribbon" you will see "Forums". Select it and scroll down 3/4 of the page for a listing of sub-forums. Go over and find others who you can ask your questions. I hear they don't bite. But anywhooo. Glad I could help with the "next steps". Even though you didn't acknowledge that I did, I know you are using the information. Bye

I'm always curious why someone doubts what is told to them from a reliable source. JMO. Yes, your embassy may have been electronic but did you make an attempt to see if there was a shipment that went to Baghdad? If not so then it would have been sent electronically if no shipment. A process of elimination.

Hello @Greenbaum Thank you so much for your answer , Yes I have checked DHL for shipment if t went to Baghdad , I found 0 shipment went to Baghdad even in the prior shipment dates , tried it for Sep ,OCT & Nov its 0 .. while easily I found shipment for a lot different countries in the Middle East , Europe and Asia !  I really trust the information from reliable source for sure ,but I really surprised it was that fast .. process of elimination ?! is that something good , means reduction in using papers or ….. bad news ??!!

The process of elimination is the act to which you start at where you think the least involved or least expense and you determine if it works and or corrects the problem. If it doesn't then you go to the next item and correct it or your case you investigate if there was indeed a shipment sent if there was then it didn't go electronically. Leaving you with the result that it was sent via DHL.

I'll explain it a little differently. When I was driving my car the other day it started sputtering and losing power. It took a lot to go the final 3 miles in this condition but once I had it home I was able to use an electronic tool to determine what the issue was. It said I had a misfire in the 2nd cylinder. Well, I began working backward as to what the cause was. The simplest and least expensive was to replace the spark plugs. Once I did that I started the car and it still had a misfire. Each of the sparks plugs has an ignition coil attached to it and so that was the next place to look. So I pulled the no. 1 coil and swapped it with no 2, cleared the codes and then started the car. The same thing, sputtering with little power but the tool now told me that it was cylinder no 1 that had the problem. So I went to the dealer, bought a new ignition coil and replaced the bad one. Started up the car and it purred like a cat. Runs great. So that is an example of the "process of elimination" that I was referring to. Hope this helped.

Thank you for taking the time to explain all of that to me ,one question  I have is all of that examples referring to DHL expensive  or( might be not safe as Iraq still war zone ) and might be hard to be used in Iraq so they send the file electronically , or something wrong in the petition itself ?!

When it comes to Iraq, I am not entirely sure. I could only guess that most "mail" comes via military means but I am not really sure. Just a guess. I would go along with your though that it was sent electronically. Keep an eye on ceac.state.gov for updates. Use "immigrant" and then your case number.

Everyone knows when the next shipment is except you. Did you even read my post that you quoted. It gives two DATES that shipments will leave NVC. I would recommend that you begin to read some of the history in this thread as the topic has been discussed over and over. Shipments leave every other week. They leave on Tuesday and WEDNESDAY. Next shipment is WEDNESDAY (today). Then after that 12/11 & 12. This pattern has been repeated over and over for the past 3 months.

Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline or your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine your Embassy. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right-hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

Thanks

Thank u so much greenbaum. Sorry to annoy you with my question at any point. i missed that part i guess when i backread/skim the thread. ✌🏼

Updated the profile as well.😊

Just wondering if you know what the next steps are?

Hi Greenbaum,

I think we should just wait for the embassy to contact us?

Our case is still in transit to the embassy now, but can we book interview date now?

Thanks in advance!
