Ok. It's a new week and fresh cases with case numbers are heading out to the Embassies. I hope everyone is on board for this trip. Starts Tuesday and Wednesday. Be sure to check the CEAC website for status updates.

If you want an advance copy of your Embassy P3 letter just hit me up as I have most.

You can track you package from NVC to your Embassy by using this little trick. Caution: All of the cases on this shipment for your Embassy will include your case as well as others. So this shipment is not just your case file. Please don't ask "is my case in that shipment"!

Go to www.dhl.com click Express then Tracking, then Track by Shipper's Reference, and on this page you add your search information. You change the day and month to what you think your package might have left NVC or call NVC to get the date your package had left NVC in route to your Embassy then go to the DHL website and enter the following information:

EXAMPLE:

* Shipper´s Reference : EXP 24 MAR 2011A  (This is the date you think it left NVC, just substitute the date and leave everything else as is)

* Date range for shipment - From: 23 - 03 - 2011

* Date range for shipment - To: 26 - 03 - 2011

Account Number - Leave this blank

Shipment Destination: Manila (Works for any Country Just replace the city where the Embassy is located)

In transit today :)  Do you have Algeria P3 by chance?  Also, the status has a strange statement about our interview date, even though we already know that we have to schedule it ourselves on the Algiers Embassy website.  Is this anything?

We also got the “ in transit” today! We have completed everything else including the medical exam. Does anyone know if we have to wait for the hard copy to arrive in Ukraine or can we schedule the interview with the NVC forwarding it electronically?

Thanks for the help

Does anyone happen to know if, when you go for the interview, they keep your passport and mail it back to you? My fiancé is hoping to go home to Ireland for Christmas but is also hoping to have his interview in Germany in December. If they keep his passport, that may be a problem...

I believe they do (not sure about Germany specific processes). I'd say best bet to delay interview until after Christmas.

Ugh he was going to come here right from Ireland but best laid plans. Oh well!

Is anyone whose case was sent mid-November still waiting to hear from the embassy? I looked at other timelines from Germany and people seemed to get the P3 between 3 and 9 days after consulate received it. We are going on two weeks and nothing. Besides just assuming we have the slowest case on earth, I’m afraid something is wrong?!

Ugh, yeah, not great... "best laid plans" should be the slogan for this whole process lol. But at least both Christmas and the interview will still be so close either way!! :)

Just a guess but maybe the Thanksgiving holiday sent your timeline a bit back from the average? I think consulates close then (and probably generally low-staffed)

Oh really? Even overseas? I didn’t think of that but it would make sense. Our case just seems to go so much slower than everyone else’s but at this point I’m ready to get this over with! He has everything sitting there ready to send in the same day he gets the letter. Just needs to get there!!
