For us, once the payment went through, it gave us the option to schedule an appointment.  Not sure if there is any other receipts.

May I be I just print out that page? We can't schedule online in HK.

NOTE: The I-134 requires a "wet" signature. This has been verified just last month from someone who completed her interview and she inquired as to the requirement and that is what she was told. She was already prepared with the proper signature so it was not an issue.

Would you recommend a cover letter when submitting the documents in the mail?

Hi guys, what does qualify as a payment confirmation for the online payment option?  I don't think i received any official payment receipts.

I received via email the payment confirmation, few days after the payment

Are you referring to the I-134 or some other document? And to whom is the document going to? This is information that is needed as some do and some don't.

You can't hurry it along at all. You have to wait for P3 which takes 2-4 weeks from Ready. Comply with what they ask for in P3 (the actually one they send you) by sending them a copy of the signed P3 checklist, your DS-160 confirmation and your Passport Bio. Then they send you P4. Then they tell you to register to schedule and you'll wait some more for interviews to open up, which only happens once a month during the last week of the month for two months ahead UNLESS you are lucky and you scoop up a cancellation. Get your medical appointment first so you can schedule the interview shortly afterwards.

Packet 3: https://ca.usembassy.gov/wp-content/uploads/sites/27/2016/07/Packet3Instructions-K1.pdf  And Packet 4 for reference also: https://ca.usembassy.gov/wp-content/uploads/sites/27/2016/03/Packet4-MTL.pdf

For all things dealing with the US Consulate in Canada head on over to the subforum for Canada where they will answer your questions for the processing of your visa from their personal experience. Link:

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/93-canada/

Get the Canadian K1 P3 letter at http://photos.state.gov/libraries/canada/303578/montreal/Packet3-K1-MTL.pdf as this is your bible needed to complete and receive your visa. The required documents are included and use the P3 as a check list. Once you have completed or gathered the required documents you'll be ready for your interview. If it is not on the Embassy letter, it probably is not needed.

Last but not least, READ the pages on the US Embassy website for you country so that you are up to speed.

You should always keep a copy of payments for your records. If a "print function" is not available then screen print the receipt or what looks to be a confirmation of payment.

A cover letter is NOT a requirement in any situation.   However, a cover letter is a good way to show the recipient what you want them to know or to provide highlights to the pertinent information.

YMMV

Have you checked your case status on the CEAC website? It should say "ready" by now and it has been there long enough you might be able to send in Packet 3 and have it accepted. It's been enough time that P3 should have arrived to you. Has the beneficiary changed addresses or anything since you filed?

Also join us here this thread might be more help for further questions :) :

POE three days ago. The easiest process we've ever had. I'm lucky I had my fiance with me for the interview, he helped me with the relocation (including transporting my two cats), and he was with me too when the CBP officer interviewed us. We went to citizen line with no problem. They just took my fingerprints and asked where we were going to get married and that's it. Welcome to USA!

So did you fill out the affidavit then fly it over there? How is this e-friendly?

I did it when we saw each other last. Otherwise send it by mail (several weeks) or UPS (a few days but expensive). It is not e-friendly but that’s what you have to do. Lots of hoops to jump through!
