Did you get a “documentarily qualified” email or letter?

if not your case is not complete yet

seems that they are reviewing or checking with a supervisor to see if you can bring your additional documents with you when they set an interview

but it doesn’t indicate a case comokere

tbey will specify and say all documents are “documentarily qualified” as well as on ceac all the documents showed as accepted

No i did not received an email saying documentarily qualified  but thank you for your quick response, the good thing is that today I’ll submit those two ducuments they asked me to re submit..thank you once again I apréciate ur time 😊

I included my assets the meet the guidelines.  Do they not look at it and leave it solely at the discretion of the consular overseas to decide if they will accept it or not

or they don’t take assets ...

Is it better with a joint sponsor or assets are as sufficient ?

hi! this happened to me!

first I got an email that everything looks fine and I am qualified and in line for an interview

and the next email was that i have to resubmit something

I resubmitted that but I also called the NVC 3 times about it

What i would recommend is that you call them about it and hear whatvthey say and then you can decide

buh from my expierience, it means that your are in line for an interview and everything is alright

but I also know how hard it is to believe that so I would say you should call ;)

Your interview will be scheduled.  Just take the original to the interview if that is the instruction...........and be thankful that they didn't ask you to submit it to NVC again.......our case was delayed by 12 weeks in 2017 because of it......good luck...you are almost at this finish line...

Yes this also happened to me. I called and the rep said everything is perfect. But then received an email the next day saying we have another checklist but they will still schedule interview and we will bring the documents during the interview instead of sending it to nvc

It depends... I got mine after 3 weeks.  Others 5 weeks. Give them up to 6 weeks.  But I would call and see if you get that over the phone.

Good luck

Morning everyone,

@Ella lee @missileman @mrmvkjts THANKS so much for your input.  My spouse will have the docs at the interview.

My most concerned part is that I used my assets to meet the requirements for the remaining 5k short due to our family size.  With my assets, we are way over the requirements...

From past experience, does anyone know if the consular officer will consider my assets or a joint sponsor is better?

( was all fine when they sai we had CC now that checklist that came after had me up all night nervous and concerned... didn’t include that since we’re okay with my income and assets...but now I want to know if I need to look for another sponsor.  Or let my spouse go with what we have and hopefully it’s sufficient )

Good.  You will receive instructions on what to do next via the CEAC online where you will be told if everything has to be submitted online or partially online and rest via email or postal mail.

You will be instructed to complete the DS 261 to choose an agent (basically person responsible to submit requested docs etc) then you will be giving instructions to pay 2 fees.  Then giving access to complete form DS 260 your visa application (that can take about 1-2hrs)

I did everything myself from start to finish.  I didn’t hire a lawyer.  The steps are pretty easy to follow and explicit.  It is up to you if you want to pay someone to do it for you

FYI  - There is no DS-261 now on CEAC. Directly pay fees and then the next steps.
