Can someone please answer me?

When should I go for the medical examination? After I submit all my documents? Or before? Will they notify me to do it?

Also, it says on the guide that I need to bring PASSPORT sized photos to the medical exam? PASSPORT or US VISA photos?

This are the photo requirements, right: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/photos.html ?

you can go after getting CC from NVC and letter from embassy.

Items to bring to your medical examination

The doctor will need the following items to complete the medical exam forms:

  • Your visa interview appointment letter with case number,
  • Your passport,
  • Eight (8) recently taken 1 inch x 1.5 inch (4 x 6 cm) passport-sized color photographs, and
  • A copy of your immunization records, and
  • Records of any major illnesses and treatments.

Thank you for responding. I've already started uploading my civil documents online and have already done my ds260. Does that mean i should go for the medical exam? When will i receive a letter from the nvc? Will the nvc explicitly tell me to go for a medical exam?

No, after you submitted petitioner AOS, applicant Civil docs in 2-4 weeks, your case will be completed at the NCV stage if all corrected. NVC will send all of your submission to your country embassy to arrange interview appointment (this can take 2-5 months according to how your embassy free or not). when the interview has been set, you will get a letter from them to get medical exam, docs preparation....for your interview.

I think its different from Country to Country like for Pakistan it's like this

Bring an original valid passport.

Bring letter/document from the national visa center/consular section, indicating visa type and category.

Bring medical, surgical and prescription history documents (if any).

Bring eyeglasses (if applicable)

Bring details of:

Current City

Current Address

Intended City

Intended Address with Zip Code

Bring valid Polio Certificate issued by the Government Hospital / Institute. (*Polio Certificate once issued, be valid for 1 Year)
