I wonder if it’s an automated system that schedules the interviews or a person? Anyone know? 

 

I assume the consulate give give nvc the dates the have available and nvc fill them automatically?

It doesnt look like many interviews were assigned. I only saw people with cc dates of 4/11-4/18 receive interview dates.This process keeps getting slower. Have you tried calling? Otherwise you can check the status of your case on CEAC. Once an interview date had been assigned it should read "in transit" and then you should receive an email with your appt date within a few days

Our case was originally with Montreal, Canada embassy, cc july 25 and had interview date for October 30, and did not attend the interview because my husband moved to india before the interview. We had to transferred our case to Mumbai embassy rescheduled the interview for January 4th

Yes it is an automated system which is run by a scheduling department and the reps at NVC you talk to do not have any idea about how that system works because they're not the ones working in the scheduling departmens.

 

Even the supervisors are not sure about the system.

i think Interview schedule on priority date and mine is 1 sep 17

I guess they look for CC date, priority date and special circumstances.
