Hey for biometrics you will find an option saying schedule VAC appointment that is basically your biometrics appointment..you have to schedule the date and time according to your choice .The main interview date you don't need to do anything with that as it is already scheduled by NVC.Go to Ustraveldocs.com then create account (register) then put your personal data then schedule appointment for biometrics and you are all set.Just take the printout of that appointment.

Hey

I registered myself and then I logged in. On the left hand side there was the tab - New Applicant/Schedule Appointment. But I didn't see a separate Schedule Appointment for Biometrics

So I clicked on that and it asked me about which visa have you applied for, what category and other details. So is this the right way, I fear that I don't make a mess and schedule something wrongly.

Will wait to hear from you 😊

Just called the SSA office in my city and after asking for my information, they still don't have it on their system yet.

The lady i spoke with told me to give it one more week.

Hey so I waited one week and took my hubby to the SSA office, he received his card yesterday, less than a week after I took him  to the office. So wait until it's a week after you've been here then go into the office. They'll put your information into the system themselves, tell them it's your first time applying.

sorry for the late response.. that new applicant/schedule appointment is itself booking for biometrics..they will ask about your category and details fill those then once you click on it you will find out it says book your VAC appontment,,That's the biometrics..don't worry

A big and loud Amen @Don Godwin we can’t wait for that email.

I hope the US is treating you well.  As for the Social security card, it takes 8 business days from the day you applied at the office for you to receive it in your mailbox.  For your Permanent resident care( AKA Green card), you should get it 30 days from the date you entered the united states.  I know @Abies you also was sounding worried, but don’t be.  For now just enjoy your time with your spouse, and be checking your mail box according to the timeframe I listed above ☺️.

please keep us in your prayers🙏🏾
