So good to know that you have moved another step forward.

Went to the SSA office yesterday and finally processed it. SSC should come in the mail next week.

Good news

@Oritneye how did you go with your son's medicals?

It went well, thanks... we did the medicals yesterday at the consultant's practice. My result would be ready oct 30th while that of my son would be ready nov 2nd but the doctor told me to come for mine on oct 31st and and ask if my son's own is ready so they can give it to me. I'm just praying it'll be ready when I go pick up mine.

I called lagos embassy to ask if it's ok for him to interview without the results and was told it's not a problem. That I should just tell them he has done his medicals and just awaiting results.

I would go with proofs that the medical examination has been carried out.

You do not need to apply for work permit, the green card is the work permit.

nope your immigrant visa give you full right to work in the united states legally, just pass your POE and get ur SSC and apply for a job you will surely get employed because this is holiday season they hiring much workers, and again your stamped passport page at your POE Acts as your Temporary GC(ID's for now) till u receive ur GC in 3weeks time....
