Ok....thanks a lot. I'm sure yours is on the way. Although we sent in an expedite request early last week so don't know if it helped Cos we haven't received any mail if it was approved or not.

Did you enter the states already or are you still at your home country?

I received mine this Saturday after 22 days of entering the country. You can check the status of your GC online at the uscis website with receipt number.

Your GC status will change to the following;

1) visa fee payment received

2) card is being produced

3) card was mailed

4) card was delivered by post office

keep in mind it says it will take up to 120 days to receive so anytime really! Just gotta keep an eye out and have patience, if you need to show proof of being here lawfully you can still show your visa sticker in your passport

Thank you so much for such a detailed explanation! I entered the us on September 14, got a small stamp IR-1 in my passport at the poe and later received a social security number in about 10 days after arrival. I wonder if I can move further and get my driving permit without the plastic green card🤔...I'm getting bored staying home🙄

Yes definitely!

i went to the DMV and applied for a State ID. The lady asked me for apartment lease, Social Security,  passport, she checked the visa and that was it! I want to get a drivers license too but we’re moving overseas in 10 months for 3 years so I’m not sure if I should worry on getting one or not..

But tell me about being bored at home!!!! I got here Sept 21 and I’ve got my husband at home on the weekends but weekdays are killing me, I’m like a puppy when he gets home haha

Ok.  I tried expediting about a month ago and they denied it.  So at this point whenever they are ready, we’re ready.  But I hope we get it soon.

Thanks dear. Can you please guide me how to check GC delivery status?

You checked your GC status at the USCIS account you paid your immigration fee at. Have you already paid you immigration fee?

Hello everyone.

VISA APPROVED.  By the grace of Almighty Allah.

It was basic and quite simple .. 7 questions

Who is calling u?

Love or arranged marriage?

When did u meet ur husband?

How many times did he visit u?

How many people attended the wedding ?

What are his hobbies ?

Have u been to US before ?

That's all and then he said those magical words.. took me 5 mins .. and I was out..

Thanks alot to everyone here for all the help and guidance. Made real good friends in this year long process.

Goodluck to all those who are waiting.  Should be done soon.

 Congratulations 🙂

Yes, www.uscis.gov/file-online. You can also Google how to pay immigration fee. I have a step by step instructions but file too big to attach.
