Is there anybody on this thread from Canada. There has been a big hold up with the new requirement for the police certificate. We submitted the privacy act one, but without fingerprints. My husband also went last week and got a police certificate with fingerprints that we will submit as soon as it arrives. It is the only thing holding us up. Anyone get approved in Canada since the Sept 10th change? If so, what did you submit please.

I know how it feels to be home alone especially in a new environment where you can't go visiting.

I have started classes on Monday and will be going back to the SSA office next week Friday for my SSN because it obvious its not going to come in the mail until we go apply manually.

How are you enjoying the California weather?its getting cold by the day in my city. How's it like in San Diego?😀

Yes it’s getting cold here too! At midday there’s sun but I don’t feel like it’s strong enough, it’s a fake sun haha and wind brings up a cold breeze but adapting to SD a bit, little by little ..

I am not from Canada but I’ve noticed Canadians complaining having to obtain a P.C. with fingerprints..Even if it’s slowing you down it’s better to do things the right way :)

Classes have started. Will not be able to go the SSA office except on fridays because there are no classes on fridays. We will be doing that next week Friday so we can also go to the DMV for to apply for state ID with my green card

Dear for a state ID here in Cali I had to show passport, they checked attached visa, social security, apartment lease (I have an amendment so I had to show the full one with my husband’s details) and marriage certificate so they could prove relationship of me and hubby.

I advise you to fill out a form online prior to going to the DMV so you’ll save yourself lots of time!

Today I got my Military ID and I’m waiting for GC and the state ID to get in the mail and then I’ll be done (for now) before worrying about Removing Conditions

I Need help with Biometric appointment scheduling, I am presented with three options and I am assuming I have to select VAC only correct ?

You will now be guided to choose between a Category 1 appointment (Visa Application Center only), Category 2 appointment (Consulate/Embassy only), or a  Category 3 appointment (Visa Application Center AND Embassy/Consulate).
