The notice to bring the I693 is just a courtesy letter reminding all AOS interviewees that they need to fulfill the medical requirement. 

As a K1 (I didnt check if you are) you dont need to redo your medical as long as you filed your AOS within one year of your overseas medical date and fulfilled the vaccination requirements that were needed on that medical exam day too. 

My question is---what happens if the interview letter doesn't arrive---as my mail isn't getting to me directly.

My status finally changed to "Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview" I know it can sit at that status for months, but I'm just so happy to see some kind of update!

K-1 Visa AOS Timeline:

Is it true that AP doesn't really update  online when approved in conjunction with EAD (filed concurrently)? I see all my updates on the EAD approval and mailing  and really none for the AP.

True. In all of the many groups I'm a member of...I haven't seen one person say their AP status updated online when their EAD was approved.

Congrats! Mine just got same update like an hour ago. At least some moves 🙏 They are still gonna issue EAD and AP and SSN, right?

In my case, it is true. I received AP however it still says online “Case was Received”.

The only way you skip EAD & AP is if you get your green card first which isn’t the norm, but it does happen for some, depending on how fast their LFO moves on green card applications. It can sit at this stage for months though, so we will likely get EAD & AP before green card.

No. Visa Journey just gives us general guidelines, and they’re only based on timelines people fill out. Nothing official. Many don’t even fill out their timeline. You cannot make an official inquiry to USCIS about your case, unless you applied before September 22.
