I think that the real deal with October filers barely started yesterday. So we should be getting a lot of approvals. I checked mine this morning and it said case received and just a few min ago I got the message from the app that my card was being produced!

Just a quick question for those who have had their EAD's approved, have you found it updated on the new USCIS update site or the old one?

Also do you have dates for when your 'Fingerprint review was completed'? Because mine updated on the new site to show that my fingerprint review was completed on the 27th Nov?

I don't want to sit here with the hope that I'll get approved some time this week or next - it's killing me right now.

I didn’t get a fingerprint complete notification, mine went straight from case received to new card is being produced on the case tracker app. To be honest it was a huge surprise to me and I’m very thankful God made it work this fast.

You still think submitting certified copies to USCIS is a bad idea?

You do know USCIS routinely loses paperwork right? Many of our tax returns (me and several other posters) were completely  lost by USCIS during the AOS paperwork so we got an RFE and had to re-send it. We didn't do anything wrong, they just lost it.

This is why USCIS tells you to send photocopies.  They don't want to be held liable for that stuff.

Same here, I have the “new card being produced” (work permit). I couldn’t believe my computer screen.

Does anyone know how long until it actually comes in the mail?

Looks like they’re finally processing October filers for the EAD

7 days!! congrats my friend I couldn't believe it either :D

Mine only updated on this site:

https://egov.uscis.gov/

Only the AED changed though, the AP and the AOS are still stuck on Case Received and Fingerprints Fee Received.

Nothing updated on this site: https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov/

Did you make more than $100000 USD overseas in 2018 as the foreign spouse?

Re: Filing joint taxes. What does it mean if the beneficiary earns under $100,000 USD? (Sorry if you'd already replied, I couldn't find it lol)

It means you file a 2555EZ. If you make more than $103900 you would file a 2555.

Thanks for everyone's responses - I see I'm gonna have to put on my 'I don't care' hat on and just wait for the approval to appear when it does!

Time for some cooking and laundry! 😂

Ummmm sorry but you are 1000% wrong on that. Yes you can photocopy your original or certified MC. That's how every single one of us in this forum who has read the instructions has done it with zero problems.

On the certified marriage certificate thing. I sent a certified copy from the register of deeds because it was the last thing I needed before I could send off the package. I went and got it at lunch and stuck it in the packet and straight to the post office from the register of deeds. I simply asked for 2 copies instead of 1 and it cost me 20 dollars instead of 10. Not a big deal either way.

Not sure why I quoted you on this, I didn't realize.
