We had our interview on 21st Of June , everything was perfect, took about 20 -25 minutes or so and the IO said everything looks fine to him and that we should wait for some couple of weeks as they need some files from our initial I-129F petition sent from the USCIS HQ to them here in Los Angeles, he handed me the infamous white letter that says further review and shiii, well the interview is past now and we will wait till we hear from them. I will prolly be giving them 30 days before i start to worry and rain in calls.

I just hope i can make my Mexico trip for September, i do not want to travel with my combo card at all!...

Honestly i used to worry a lot before but they (USCIS) taught me what real patience is after waiting 11 months for a K1 approval without any RFE's and now wife even confirms that my patience has improved (Slightly) :D

Back to work lol

Finally! This last weekend, my wife received her I765 and I151. We attended the 2nd interview scheduled for today 06/26 and brought the medical exam with us. It turns out the office made a mistake with scheduling us again, and they were just waiting for the K1 visa petition to arrive from the consulate. They received the medical exam when I mailed it. The immigration officer didn’t ask us any additional questions gave us an on the spot approval. The case status updated to “green card was ordered” after 5pm today.

Our filing date was 10/9/18.

Congratulations. This is what we are going through. Had our interview last week Friday 21st June and the IO said they need to request our K1 petition file... And it still says “Interview was scheduled” on their website. It’s never easy with these people, is it?  Umm 😐

The same thing happened to us. Our status was “interview scheduled” for two months until yesterday when they received the I-129F from the consulate and scheduled us to appear for another interview.

Interestingly, the receipt date for case inquiry (on EAD) seems to have jumped forward a few days. Yesterday it was sitting at Oct 18th/19th (so my receipt date), but now it's at the 25th. Does that mean they've finished at least 90% of that week's cases? Or is it an error?

Still waiting on my EAD going on day 253 now. Been 8~ days since they received our response to the second RFE (joint sponsor's birth certificate). Hoping it doesn't take 30+ days like after the first RFIE in May!

11/12/2017 - Entered US on J1
10/18/2018 - Filed AOS at NBC
12/11/2018 - Biometrics
02/28/2019 - USCIS mailed RFIE on I485
05/09/2019 - USCIS received RFIE response
06/11/2019 - USCIS mailed another RFIE on I485
06/19/2019 - USCIS received 2nd RFIE response
07/24/2019 - I485 ready to schedule for interview
01/22/2020 - I485 interview (in San Jose instead of San Francisco)

Wow..... That was fast. Well, I only got approved yesterday. So by next week ending I might receive the combo card.

Thanks
