Good luck! We got an RFE in february and then sent back our response before the deadline, but never heard anything back about or EAD/AP lol. Even now that our green card is approved, still no updates. But I'm pretty sure that once we have the green card those forms/cards won't matter! :) At least from my understanding. I haven't researched it fully, but best of luck to you! You'll be there soon!

Thank you! 🤗Yes, of course. When there is a green card, EAD/AP does not matter anymore.😀

USCIS and NBC very unpredictable. Two days ago I was told that my documentns still not under review ( on the site was written that my documents  recieved). And today ( after two days) it turns out that my documents are already in my local office. This all comes from the fact that the pages are not always updated.🙄

Also a side note rant, I hate that I printed out countless papers for this interview that the officer didn’t need nor check.

RIP to the ink and paper that was used.

Haha! I just rode on my bicycle to the Dollar General for my second stack of 250 sheets of printer paper since starting to prepare the documents for the interview. The neighbourhood kids on summer break stopped me on my way home excitedly asking what I bought. I told them I had homework and they groaned and continued to bounce on the trampoline.

Hello everyone,

As I wrote on May 9 I had received a RFE to drop in person at Federal Plaza the I-693 no interview just submit the documents from 7am to 12 pm. It was not a Courtesy Letter since the Courtesy  letter I received it back on February 28.

Well, today , I went to Federal Plaza at 8am went through all the check points until I get to one of the windows, I explained the lady the reason of my "appointment" she said it was not an appointment she just pulled out my file from a box she had behind her put my documents on that file put the file back in the box and that was it.

She said I should receive a letter. It took me about 5 minutes or less.

I had also received about three weeks ago a I-797-C on behalf of the I-130 (approved).

So if I already have my I-765 on hand, I also have  approved of I-130, I had submitted the I-1693 today.  Will I still have an interview? If so, How long will it take to have an interview or to have the GC approved.

Any ideas, experiences or anything.

Thank you,

Hello,

I just wanted to post an update regarding our situation and ask a question.

My wife and I completed our first interview in April for the I-485. She came in to the US on a K1 visa, and we were married on 8/25. At the time, we did not have the I693 because I assumed the medical exam would be forwarded from the Consulate in South Korea since she completed it there. Since we did not have the completed medical exam here, we were issued an RFE to submit the I693.

I sent in the I693 within a week by mail in the sealed envelope after having it completed locally, and I received notice that it was delivered successfully. We didn’t hear anything about the case for almost two months, so we submitted case inquiries/called USCIS/etc. Last Friday, we finally received news about our case via a letter, and the letter says we have to complete another interview. Does anyone know why they scheduled a second interview for us? The immigration officer that interviewed us the first time seemed pleased with the result and said we only needed to submit the I693. Could it be that they think our marriage or application is fraudulent?

Does the letter specifically reference that they recognize you have already been interviewed and specifically states you need a second interview?

If not, it could be in error. Call them.

PS did the IO not attempt to locate your A-file where your overseas medical was stored? Normally they will have that at the interview or at least tell you that dont have it yet and will attempt to retrieve it?

Or did you passively agree with them that you needed a new medical without reminding them you completed it and it will be in your A-file.

Last week we got the update that our interview was scheduled. But that happen right at the time we were moving from Texas to Virginia, so I didn't have a new permanent address yet.

What are y'all advice? Should I update my address now that we signed a lease? should I ask to reschedule the interview in the local office in Virginia or should we just keep the appointment in Texas? I appreciate any inputs :)

In my head the best would be to update my address now, and still do the interview in Texas and explain the situation to the officer.

Thank you for your reply. The letter does not specifically state that they recognize we have been interviewed. It states to bring photo ID, myself and my wife, police records, marriage certificates, and proof of common residence. I provided all these documents to USCIS in the original filing for AOS, and I the originals with me during the last interview.

My USCIS case status never updated after our last interview, so we’re probably just going to go anyway since they sent us the notice. I think they didn’t mark the interview as complete because we didn’t have the medical records at the time.

The IO gave us two options with the medical exam. He said he could request it from the consulate, which would take a while, or we could just complete one here. I was unaware there would be one in her A-file, so I agreed to complete the exam here. He made it sound like it would take longer for them to request it rather than just doing one here.

I’m pretty sure you’re supposed to notify USCIS if you have a change of address within 10 or 30 days or something like that. I would call and let them know.
