We had our interview in Baltimore office, MD on May 6, so it’s been 21 days since that - and not a word from them. The officer said they were drowning in the number of applications, that their supervisors would have 2 weeks to review the cases after the interviews were completed. And then the case should get back to the same officer that ran the interview. May be that’s why you didn’t hear from them yet too. Hope you hear from them soon! 

 

Ok that’s actually very insightful and helpful! Thank you so much!!! We’re at 19 days since interview. Fingers crossed we both hear something soon!!! I wouldn’t be so stressed about it if I had EAD. 🤞🏼🤞🏼

I need to amend my tax return, but my interview is next week (the 6th). Is this going to be a huge issue during the interview? Do I just take my incorrect/old return in case they ask for it, or should I just not bring it? Filed jointly married. I know its not a "required" item to bring, but its on the list of possible/recommended things to bring, so unsure what to do. Thanks everyone!!

Hi guys just an update my husband received his Green Card and Employment card on Saturday and letters just confirming cards were mailed out. We are very happy! Good luck everyone else.

I AM CRYING SOOOOOOO HARD RIGHT NOW!!! MY EAD HAS BEEN APPROVED!!! 222 DAYS OF WAITING!! 😭😭😭😭 THANK YOU UNIVERSE!!!!! I CAN FINALLY GET A JOB!!!! Thank you so much everyone for all your positive energy!!! It means the world to me!!! Let the job search begin!!!! Who knows when my Green Card will come, 22 days since my interview but I don’t even care right now. I am FREE!!! 😭♥️😭♥️

Our cases were definitely in the same box @NikkiFromCanada!!!! HAHAHAHAHA, exactly the same PD date and we got it at the same day!

I got the e-mail yesterday at 10:30PM, "New Card is being produced" 😁😁😁😁

This was such a great timing, because the starting date for my job is in a week and a half, and I still need to move across states... my life is always exciting, lol

Definitely this group has been of the most importance for me keeping my mind sanity! Thank y'all so much!!! and good luck and patience for who is still waiting!!!

Ahhh so amazing!!!! I got mine at 12:10am last night!! Congratulations!! Normal life awaits us!!!!!

But anyway, tomorrow, May 30, I have the right to send a second request for Outside Normal Processing Time for EAD/AP. My first request  I send April 30.

My waiting time  for today - 237 days.

Hi all

I have been following all of your comments for a year now, and I am finally commenting!! ( lame, I know) 

Very happy for all of you who got your EAD cards, hope it will be my case soon! I am also an October filer but got a RFE so I guess it delayed my process! It is now 229 days and I have put a service request on May 1st, suppose to hear from them before May 31st... pray for me 😥

I hope it doesn't take very long for you to get your EAD... they worked on at least 8 cases in my range yesterday... it's definitively speeding up. Hang in there!

Are you sure you are outside of normal processing times now?

They just recently pushed back EAD/ AP processing times from 5 to 7 months to 6.5 to 8.5 and 6 to 8 respectively.

I'd check out the USCIS processing times website. 

EAD is back at September 21st while AP is at October 5th.

I hope. But they can simply block my request, due to the fact that they are now considering my answer for RFE ( I- 485). They recieved it just yesterday. For example, NikkiFromCanada could not submit a request, because she already had an interview and there was no solution.

 

I submitted the first request after 7 months. It was April 30th. So after 30 days (May 30), I can make another request. I will see how it works tomorrow or the day after. In any case, it is written in their letter when I tried to send another request.

Did you receive RFE after requst or before request?  And what RFE do you have? I sent a request 30 on April and recieved RFE 13 on Form I-485 on May.
