The inquiry dates for pending EAD just jumped back to Sep 18th 2018....good god. 😕 I am a Nov renewal filer (I can work, but can't leave atm and had GC interview this week but no answer yet).

I am so so sorry so many ppl are still waiting. EAD/AP processing times at 6.5 to 8.5 months now - wow just wow.

Ok wow. It really did go from October 31 to September 18 in a matter of hours. Not that it matters anyway. They don’t answer when you submit an inquiry, and if they do answer, it’s jus to tell you to wait longer anyway!!

Who knows?? It’s been 18 days since my Green Card interview and not a word. They’re not asking me for more info, so what’s the hold up? Are they just purposely holding it to be jerks?? Because I can’t think of any reason why they’re not sending it to me. There has to be some kind of conspiracy. I’m convinced there’s something going on with USCIS and this administration why they’re slowing down the process. If you read the news reports lately, they were actually given more funding, and they’re receiving less applications!!

Now your waiting for your GC no longer looks so scary after yesterday’s news that the waiting period has increased to 6.5- 8.5 months. 🙄

I am very upset for the November applicants, who were already for the step of submitting requests.  I was in the same situation already 2 times when IUSCIS increased the deadlines a few days before I had to submit a request.  I also hope that my answer for RFIE will be sufficient to at least get EAD/AP.

Yes, I read all the news and watch immigration lawyers on Youtube. Applications are less, and the deadlines are increasing. Something strange is happening in the immigration system. Perhaps everything will clear up later for us. After all, our process does not end with the receipt of a temporary GC.

none of this really make any sense... at the beginning of the month they moved the date forward 5 days... and 3 weeks later they push them 45 days backwards?

and I wonder, what is going to happen when the director steps down on June 1st and there isn't leadership until they put somebody there... and from what I'm reading, the person being considered for the position, is disliked even from within the republican party... I wonder how long more we can endure this process...

Filed AOS on October 18th and still waiting. Had an RFIE at the end of February that we replied to early May (USCIS said they received it on the 9th, then a day later said they received it on the 10th, odd). I was hoping to hear something by the end of May, or at least the first week of June - one month after they received it. My lawyer tried sending a service request a few days ago but it was rejected because they last took action on my case within the past 60 days. Now with the service request date moving so far back, I'm super doubtful that I'll hear anything in the next 2 weeks, and probably not even in June at all.

This waiting game is not fun at all, especially living in the bay area with its high rent and on just the 1 income meaning I can't even enjoy my extended time off work. At this rate it probably would have been better for me to have gone back to the UK when my J1 ended in November and instead apply for CR1. Being away from my wife for a year would not have been a nice time, but at least then I would have been able to work, actually feel useful, and then not have to wait the 20~ months for an interview at the San Francisco office to actually get the damm green card.

On Monday I'll probably speak to my lawyer about trying to expedite somehow.

11/12/2017 - Entered US on J1
10/18/2018 - Filed AOS at NBC
12/11/2018 - Biometrics
02/28/2019 - USCIS mailed RFIE on I485
05/09/2019 - USCIS received RFIE response
06/11/2019 - USCIS mailed another RFIE on I485
06/19/2019 - USCIS received 2nd RFIE response
07/24/2019 - I485 ready to schedule for interview
01/22/2020 - I485 interview (in San Jose instead of San Francisco)

I understand you completely. We are still in the same limbo here. And the latest news is not comforting. Of course, do everything possible that depends on you and your lawyer.

like, I know that the website says that they can change the processing times without prior notice... but when we started the K1 petition the times to get the EAD were 3-5 months... when we actually applied for the EAD it was 4-6 months... then when we're at 5 months it changes to 4,5-6,5... then when we get to 5,5 months it goes to 5-7 months.... and when we're at 7,25 months they change it to 6,5-8,5 months!!! Like, people are planning their lives based on theses dates, do they even think on that??

am I the only one who doesn't speak everything I am thinking here, because I'm paranoid that the government is monitoring this and is going to retaliate on my immigration process? am I going crazy???

Hi!

We are November filers, receive date - November 02, it took them 8 days to receive the application for some reason. We had our interview in Baltimore office, MD on May 6, so it’s been 21 days since that - and not a word from them. The officer said they were drowning in the number of applications, that their supervisors would have 2 weeks to review the cases after the interviews were completed. And then the case should get back to the same officer that ran the interview. May be that’s why you didn’t hear from them yet too. Hope you hear from them soon!
