Hello guys,

Another update on my case:
After the EAD card in production I had received the update of picked up by USPS and another update with tracking number.
Also, and more important, I had received a RFE that I have to handle in person the I-693 to my local office, it doesn't stated a exactly time like the regular interview letters, It just says from 7 am to 12 pm to handle the close envelope from the surgeon.
I am applying as a mother of a US citizen. Does anyone have had a similar experience? Does that mean I won't have interview?  I am confused.

Thank you in advance for your thoughts.

Post the letter please.

It sounds like a Courtesy Letter.

whoa! why was it so long, if you dont mind sharing?

He just asked LOT of questions. And I just realized he didn’t even take the vaccination document from me. Lot of tricky questions. Also if every date or detail wasn’t sure (like I would say I moved from that apartment 1st July) he would say: it shows here 2nd. Which one it is?

Just did our interview and it took 1,5 hours!!!!!! Not a pleasant experience at all. 😭

OMG no! Ours was at Baltimore too, and it took about 30 minutes. It was pleasant and seemed to go well, but I left very sad because we didn't get an on the spot approval like so many. I'm so discouraged now and I have no idea when I'll get my Green Card. What happened?? Do you remember his name? Ours was Garrison.

Awesome!!! Did you email your congressman? And did you have to provide any supporting documentation or reason on why you are asking for his help? Or is the fact that it's almost past inquiry date is sufficient enough? I may do that this wknd 🤪🤪🤪

We had our interview and did not get approved on the spot either. But the interview started on time and ended in about 45min so can't complain.

The interviewer was really cold at first and just went through our applications verifying names, dates, financials etc. Then the conversation became more relaxed after we told the story of how we met, how the proposal and marriage went etc. We even made him chuckle a few times 😁

But there was no approval on the spot :( he made it sounds like it's not common to get a decision on the same day. He said the decision should come out in 3-4 weeks and then if it all goes well, we should get the card in another 4-5 weeks.... 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 I really tried staying calm when I heard that.

I did ask him about whether we could still be getting the EAD/AP while we wait for the GC decision, and he said yes as it is handled by a different office/different process. At least that's a relief. I really just need either the EAD or GC at this point!!

Good luck everyone either waiting or is doing an interview soon! Your time will come! And just understand that although it does depend on the subjectivity of the officer in terms of what questions/how deep he will probe into your case and your personal life, it's helpful to prep the interview by looking through your application and remember the key dates you wrote on there so there is no discrepancy during the interview. If anything, if you stick to the truth, you'd be okay!

Yes, I sent an email. I just gave him the low down of my situation, and that I’ve been waiting almost 7 months for work/travel authorization. I mentioned that I had my Green Card interview and that our case is being held for further review. I got an email back within one hour. I also added that my husband and I are productive members of society, both with professional careers and that being out of the workforce for 9 months has been detrimental to my career. I mentioned that my husband is an active voter!! So we’ll see. I really hope he can help!! 🤞🏼

Post the letter please.

It sounds like a Courtesy Letter.

I will take a pic when tonight. But it is not a courtesy letter, because it says:

You are hereby notified to appear on  _____  June ___, 2019,  between  7:00 am and 12:00pm

Failure to appear to this  interview and /or failure to bring the requested documentation will result in a denial of your application.

My question is will I be interviewed or just drop the requested documentation? Since usually this  interview letter specify the exact time you appointment is.

Hi guys so we went to our interview today in Baltimore we were called very fast and the we were asked mainly everything that was on the application he did ask a question then continue to another one and then went back to same questions just to see my husband answers and we did feel comfortable but he did try to trick us to see if we are lying or so.....after maybe 30 minutes of all this questions he said they need to review the application and that he will send a letter to let us know if approve he said they don't so approvals on the spot so anyone going to Baltimore ofgice expect not to get ypur approval. I did ask about EAD he said they are different office and checked but it say it's in pending status. So at this point its more waiting time for us. We are sad but we faith all is good and we will get our approval soon!

My wife's I-765 was finally approved today. It took about 195 days or so to be approved. However, the I-131 has no update yet? Do they send these two cards separately or as one combination card?
