I received the RFE for I485 and it has been 49days today and I have not heard anything. So I am waiting and waiting.

That's totally normal. If you were missing anything else, they would have contacted you. Once they received your RFE response, your case goes back in the queue to be worked and sent off to your LFO. I waited almost 5 months after I sent my RFE response with no status update, and finally today my interview was scheduled.

Just done with my interview today at USCIS Portland OR and it was super smooth. Lasted less than 30mins and the CO just asked some random/relevant questions from the I485 form. Some questions asked were:

- Date of Marriage

- Me and my husband's full name

- Our DOBs

- Our home address

- My Parents' names

- Our kids DOBs

 

Thats it! CO informed us how long will it take for the GC to arrived.

5months..... Is a long way to go. But how long did it take for you to get you ead? I am just waiting to hit 60+days and if I don't hear any decision made on my RFE, then I will begin to call them😌

I have no words. I had 5 days left to submit a request for EAD(my waiting period is already 6 months- 4 October). This morning I checked the site and the date was September 29th. I just checked the site - they again made an adjustment to 5-7 months and put date September 5.  When they did it a month ago, I was very upset. Today I am in utter despair.

Literally in the same boat, and it devastated my entire day. How do they think we're surviving with one spouse out of two that can't work or leave the country for 6 MONTHS???

The worst thing in this situation is that even 7 months is not a guaranteed date for submitting a request. They can extend these terms as much as they like.

This is the most frustrating thing ever that they can just keep changing it and pushing back the processing times. They have not a care in the world for the people actually going through the process.

I still didn't get my EAD. Almost 6 months now. Your wait time is totally normal. They don't update you on your RFE. They ask for what they need, and then your case goes in for normal processing like everyone else.

ERM not sure what kind of drugs USCIS are on but when i checked their website they seem to have gone and done it again..

 

 

So it really should be on October filers for inquiries but . YEP you guessed it they extended the inquiry times so what was earlier a few hours ago on 28th of September has now gone back to the 6th of September and the time range another month has been added. Absolutely ridiculous... Bunch of .... begins with W and ends with RS
