Can I call embassy to ask them ?

No, you just have to wait your turn. The embassy doesn’t even have your case yet. At this stage, they don’t even know who you are.

As has already been mentioned, part of the reason why you are still waiting is that it took you 4 months from when the NVC received your case to send your documents. Most of us have them ready to go by the time the NVC receives the file.

Timeline in brief:

Married: September 27, 2014

I-130 filed: February 5, 2016

NOA1: February 8, 2016 Nebraska

NOA2: July 21, 2016

Interview: December 6, 2016 London

POE: December 19, 2016 Las Vegas

N-400 filed: September 30, 2019

Interview: March 22, 2021 Seattle

Oath: March 22, 2021 COVID-style same-day oath

About 12-14 months is the current norm for a CR-1 process.

No idea why it took so long to get your case number.

Still do not see answer to your question

has anyone in morocco been scheduled for November or even a December interview?

the reason JFH says the embassy does not know u yet is because for Morocco (not some other embassies) the interview is scheduled between NVC and the embasyy/  u will know date for interview long before the case is sent to Casa

At this point you are all waiting for a visa number to become available

Yes some cases take longer than 12 months....some take 16-18 months +  there is no rule it has to be done in 12. Its done when it's done 🤷🏻‍♀️
