Questions about residence together

So me and my wife have our I751/N400 combo interview in 2 weeks, and because of a job opportunity we have not been living 100% of the time together for the past 4 months(I got a really really good job offer in Austin that I could not say no and since my job pays more than double what I made before it made sense even tho paying 2 rents.), we live around 150 miles apart and see each other every weekend driving back and forth (I live in Austin and she lives in Fort Worth). She did not move to Austin yet because I do not want her to feel pressure to leave her current job(that she loves), but she has been applying for jobs here that fits her career goals but still didn't find anything that she likes. Does that affect in any bad way us in the interview? We have tattoos with each others names, all our bills together, bank accounts, credit cards, both cars in both names, etc...

We went for a month vacation to Brazil, had a time with our families and we decided to try it again, we got married in Brazil too(with the family etc), with a party to all our friends and we have been doing great. We were always best friends, our problem was a lot of jealously by her part(specially social media, i think a lot of people can relate) and we are young so we are still learning with each other.

So... if you “can’t live without each other” and you are making double in Austin what you made in Fort Worth, why does she love her job more than you? She wants to stay in Fort Worth, paying an additional rent and utilities, because of a job when her husband, that she “can’t live without” lives in Austin? It doesn’t look good, to be honest.

Well, I would never want to interfere in my wife career, she is an independent woman and that is one of the things that attracts me a lot on her. I don't want a house wife, and she despite that because her mom worked her whole life too. And we live 2 hour drive from each other, not a plane ticket :)

Oh, nice try with the change of user name to both of your names. Of course that proves you’re a real couple. 😂 almost as good as getting matching tattoos. USCIS will be impressed!

Nobody said anything about being a housewife. But it makes sense if she “can’t live without you” (your words, not ours) that she would be rushing to live with you. I mean, you moved thousands of miles to be together. Why can’t she move 150? Once she’s in Austin she will find it a lot easier to get a job there. She’ll be able to network, attend events, be able to attend interviews at short notice. If she’s good at what she does, she won’t be out of work for long in a place like Austin. And it would mean you’re not paying 2 rents and 2 sets of utilities. Maybe the company that she loves even has a branch in Austin or nearby where she can transfer?

Interesting that this change of location dramatically reduced the wait time for your N-400. Now if I were a gambling person I might be tempted to say the job had nothing to do with it. You just wanted your citizenship as quickly as possible so that you can divorce your wife and move on. Seems you are just staying married to get citizenship under the 3-year rule.

You do realize that changing your user name doesn’t erase your post history?

Relationships take sacrifice and compromise. Relationships that involve two people from different countries (with immigration thrown in) take even more sacrifice and compromise. I.E. One person moved to this country and left family, friends, career behind, so maybe the American citizen should put their career behind for a bit to be with the partner that left a lot behind? If all relationships were fair and equal, right? I think counseling is great for every couple and I think it would be great for you and your partner.

Lol, tattoos can be removed and nowhere does USCIS say they count that as evidence of marital union. I have 3 tattoos I've gotten lasered off just cause I'm older and don't like them anymore. Also have a friend who drunkenly got her ex-boyfriend's name inked (he got hers, they were together at the time) cause the ex had a tattoo artist friend. They broke up like six months later. Kinda weird this is brought up at all.

Sometimes during the AoS phase, couples can get away with not living together if they have a REALLY good reason as to why and can show they plan on moving in together in the near future. During I-751/N-400, I would expect much much lower chances of success, especially given your past posts about contemplating divorce. Expect a lot of scrutiny.
