K2 child needs a different receipt number for medical?

Hi all,

My Fiancé is convinced that we needed to submit 2 separate I-129F forms (one for her and one for her son).  I indicated her sons name on the original petition.

She spoke to a woman who recently went through the process who said there are two different receipt numbers needed for the medical check (mother and child).  Is there any truth to this?  How would I get two receipt numbers for the medical check?

No, it’s just one I-29F. It’s at the embassy stage where the applications become separate.

Why did you need to submit 2 seperate I-129F  for them? Her son is on the behafe of her. If you do this, then you'll have two epackage 3 notices from the USA consulate .I don't think it's necessary to have separate petitions.  The receipt numbers will be in the epackage 3 from the USA consulate in your fiance's country .That's what we do here. Your fiancee has gotten the letter or epackage 3 from the USA consulate ?

We’re still waiting on the NOA2 but she’s trying to do her own study to prepare for when we get the NOA2.

The epackage will have different numbers for her and her son?

Should be the same receipt number to schedule the medical exam bcu her son is on the behafe of her. But you said you filed different i129F for them? Then they'll have different receipt numbers. This shouldn't happen.

No I only filed one.  She seems to think we need 2.

That’s the correct way. She has misunderstood something.
