Hello, I was wondering if any Canadians here have had any luck contacting the Canadian Consulate General in Los Angeles? We have a pending application with them and we're traveling soon. But we haven't heard a peep from them since sending our papers in. Thanks in advance!

Usually, they do not provide status updates for those, it takes the time it takes.

Did you receive any communication from them? If so, you can send your request through the web form here:

You might get lucky and get an answer.

Otherwise, depending on the reason why your husband is inadmissible, he might be granted a one time entry at the border, for a fee. I do not suggest that way, because it's at the discretion of the CBSA agent and there is no guarantee.

In your shoes, I would simply wait until the TRP is granted before traveling - or travel solo until then...

Only comms we got from them was a confirmation email after the application was received.

We did discuss just flying together and seeing what happens at the border but decided against it. Would rather travel solo until he gets the permit. Thanks, I'll send a request to that email!
